  1. This will be a good argument next time some right-wing Christian storms out of a government meeting because someone is offering a non-Christian prayer upon commencement of said meeting. Otherwise, a nice case of projection.
  2. I am opposed to such a rule as you outlined. What we have chosen instead is to allow a large enough roster size so the owner can "protect" his top pick if he so chooses. Some owners gamble and load up their roster with fliers, hopes and dreams while other owners religiously use one of those extra spots on protecting a top player. It's the choice of the owner how he wants to manage his team. If you want to "get rid of luck" then the Head-to-Head format must go. That is where luck is a huge part of it, but most fantasy football owners would not choose that road. My league actually combines head to head with Rotisserie scoring. That eliminates SOME luck, but not all of it...
  3. I need the season to just be over. From 6-1, to 7-7 and a first round loss in the "Consolation Tier". A litany of bad trades, UNCANNY ability to stream the worst defenses each week....injuries played a part, but this season of mediocrity has my fingerprints on it. Time to end this crap
  4. AB is nearly uncoverable. Makes you wonder just how horrific Vick was to NOT be able get him the ball when he played.
  5. huge pet peeve of mine. im tied for my division lead and I lost by 1 point this week....my opponent is playing a guy 1-10 and he started Amendola last night when we knew well in advance he was out. Just poor management...I am not overly mad about it because of the STUPID lineup decisions I made.
  6. Success HAD been Rivers, but with his team falling like flies around him that's not looking good anymore. Jordan Reed has been very solid, and until I traded him Allen Hurns was great. Misses (not completely worthless, but not dependable) were Jeremy Hill and Jordan Matthews. AJ Green, while doing OK, has not been the stud point player I expected. After a 4-1 start I am now 6-5, tied in my division with 3 regular weeks to play and have now decided to go BACK to Eli Manning ...
  7. I just picked up Dallas Defense (on a hunch they have a great game Thanksgiving). Given my track record on defense this year, Dallas is screwed.
  8. This blows. I have effing Knile Davis and just have been so busy couldn't make the switch and someone snagged ware before I could get to him. Now I am pretty much left with Yeldon and Hill.
  9. Broncos sucked on D this week, because I had picked them up for a Fan Dual lineup. I have had a perplexing ability to choose the absolute worst defense from week to week....early picks sucked, then I streamed D and they sucked. In my own league a couple weeks back I threw up my hands and have just been running Philadelphia with no regard for matchup...that seems to have aided me a bit as the Eagles have been pretty good for me. As long as I don't have to "make a decision" on defense I'm fine.
  10. It's terrible. I miraculously won my game even with Hill in my lineup. He's out as of this week. I think it's largely because of the offensive setup. However, to think Bernard is going to become the bell cow is ridiculous. He's in the right role for his size, 10-15 carries, 5-10 catches, which means Hill will continue to get some run. Hill was a monster last year, I seriously doubt he forgot how to run a football. His demise is a combination of a few things, with offensive flow being a major component.
  11. After watching my opponent get TWO over time games (Carr for Oakland, Gurley for St Louis) and nearly another (GBAY) It was sweet to get that last TD by Jordan Matthews. Now with Phil Rivers and Marquis Wilson going tomorrow night I merely need both to show up and do OK. Sweet....come on Philly don't let me down
  12. They got what they got. You don't get points for "shoulda"...it's all conjecture. The 1990s Cowboys ONLY got 3 and thus should not be considered on par with any team with 4+ Super Bowls.....hell, Pittsburgh "shoulda" had a 5th during the 1970s (the 1976 Steelers were maybe the best D they ever had, but had a couple HUGE injuries in the playoffs and basically played the AFC Championship game against Oakland with ZERO running backs). Thems the breaks, injuries, coaching changes, bad weather, bad calls, etc......Oakland lifted the trophy and that was that.
  13. This post scores high marks for hyperbole and over-reaction.
  14. I actually started Eli over Rivers today ON a hunch. Great move. Doesn't matter...opponent had Brees. Off to 5-3.
