  1. In the middle of the field the reciever must: 1. come down with the ball and either make a 'football move' meaning taking a step or two with control of the ball to be a catch or 2. come down with the ball keeping it off of the turf if he goes to the ground The reason they have the rule they do for out of bounds is because they don't have the option of bobbling the ball and keeping it off of the turf because as soon as anything hits out of bounds the play is dead. I think the rule is crap but it is what it is. The receiver must get two feet down and maintain control all the way through the catch even if the ball doesn't hit the turf; he still has to not allow it to move.
  2. Yeah I think you are actually backwards on your thinking here. The guy that got Hasselbeck and PT actually got the better deal out of this one, not the other way around. I'm guessing everyone is right, you are 4-5 and now worried but this seems like a like a perfectly fair trade to me.
  3. Sims-Walker because he has been huge. Breaston as long as he is going to play. Owens because they have been talking a lot about getting him more touches, I expect them to just start heaving them up for him.
  4. If you have to drop anyone Jackson is the guy. He isn't going to play this week and after Harris has a good week, he might be fighting against two other guys. Last week wasn't typical of the Rams, they aren't going to like running the ball 25-30 times a game every week. You might be careful with Volek though. I think McNair is going to play this week. If he is really winding down his career he isn't going to want to do it on the bench.
  5. I would rethink Pittman vs. SD, SD is pretty good against the run and Pittman has a tendency to disappear against good teams. You just have to look who Pittman had his big games against. I live in Tampa and have seen every game this year and I'm not sold on him at all especially against a top tier team. Taylor would be a lot better this week. The Bears can't stop the run and the Jags are going to just try to kill the clock after they get way up.
  6. In a ten team league, first week of playoffs... Start 1QB, 1-4RB, 1-4WR, 1TE, 1K, 1D In our league we play a total of 5 rbs or wrs with at least 1 of each... Here is my problem, I kicked ass during the regular season and have the #1 seed going into playoffs but this week I have some big RB issues. My roster... QB Byron Leftwich RB Tiki Barber RB Deuce McAllister RB Jamal Lewis RB Julius Jones RB Thomas Jones RB Maurice Hicks RB Chris Brown WR Marvin Harrison TE Antonio Gates TE Tony Gonzalez K Adam Vinatieri D Cardinals D Skins My problem is that I need to start 4 rbs out of those seven. Lewis is pretty much out this week and Julius Jones is no brainer to start so now... T Jones, T Barber, C Brown, D McAllister, M Hicks..... Which 3 do I pick out of these?????? I'm lost right now... T Jones hasn't done anything lately and last week he gave up half of his carries. T Barber is suffering from the curse that Eli Manning put on him and he is up against the Ravens. C Brown may or may not play and may or may not finish the game if he does. D McAllister would be a decent play if the Saints hadn't thrown away their running playbook recently. M Hicks might be a big bust, could be a risky play even against the 49ers. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!
