Mack Brown should be a great recruiter because of where he is recruiting kids to go play. Austin is a great town that worships it's players. I would classify Brown as the best recruiter in college ball if he could go to Texas Tech and recruit the same players he gets at Texas to go to Lubbock. My guess is, there would be no way. I Give the man some credit, but dont label him as a recruiting genius.

That is tough.. I would say stick with Studs. DD and Edge. I have pittman as well.. and am thinking of starting him, but that is tough. It was like the threads last week asking if you should start Holt vs. Moulds.. I said then, stick with your studs.. I say now, stick with your studs

I would go with Holt. Chandler got him 10 catches last week. He will be looking for him all day. Never bench studs. Never!

I am in the same situation with you almost. I have McCown, Testaverde and Volek. Right now, I am leaning toward McCown because he plays San Fran. I would rather start Volek and may make the change after the early games depending on how well my other players scored. I can see McNair not playing this week. It sucks not knowing. If Tenn plays on Sunday, easy, just wait for the decision. Otherwise, we guess.

You already have a playoff... regular season... That is why college football is so great.

There is a playoff in place... it is called the regular season.

There is no real good answer with playoffs etc.. there will always be someone bitching about it. Say you have a playoff where the top 8 teams get in, whoever is left out at number 9 will be bitching about their lost opportunity. In your 1vs 4, 2 vs 3 playoff scenario above, why reward a team like Texas by giving them an extra game to try to beat Oklahoma.. that is what makes college football so great, you lose once during the season and it effects your rankings.. Every game is crucial. Every game counts. Leave it like it is, tweak the voting because not every coach can watch each team during the season so they have no clue except what they hear on ESPN. That is the real problem here. REalize that Lee Corso and his idiotic mind has more influence on which teams are voted where just by what he says on TV. Now that sucks. Leave the system how it is, and tell everyone to quit bitching. Play the toughest schedule in the country and win every game and you get to be champion. Lose a game and all bets are off.

Yeah, I need to let the excitement of having a Monday Night player go.. It is fun watching the Monday night game knowing you have a player and need a certain amount of points..

Performance league 1st round of playoffs.. 100 yds get bonus points and longer Tds count more. Pick 3 Rbs.. S. Alexander vs Minn J. Jones vs. New Orleans McGahee vs. Cleveland C. Brown/A. Smith vs. KC I have to stick with Julius Jones since he is playing a weak New Orleans team and is on a tear. I also like McGahee against a crappy Cleveland defense. I know Alexander is a stud and I should start him no matter what, but I am tempted with Brown/Smith combo.. basically I think if Brown starts he will have 100 yds by half time. and if he is hurt and cant go, I have Smith to start who could put up a big game.. Any thoughts?

Only play Brown if you have Smith as a backup for him and can swap him if he cant go
