I've been a Directv customer for 14 years and I've had the Sunday ticket for 10. I've got the ticket given to me for free 3 out of the past 4 years. ( including this year ). I don't threaten to cancel and I never get abrasive with them. I just point out that I'm a loyal customer and the only reason that I choose to stay with Directv is the Sunday Ticket. They have always agreed that it is cheaper to provide me my football free and make $$ for the remainder of my package. Works well for me. When you call the customer service number you will get the automated service. Follow the prompts and say "cancel service" when asked why you are calling. This will move you directly to the customer retention department. Make sure you call during business hours to be 100% sure you get a real retention rep. Be overly polite and grateful to them and explain simply why you are calling. Don't threaten or make accusations against the company. If you don't get what you want, then thank them for their time and call back the next day for a different operator. You will end up with what you want!

Go easy Taz! I'm a big believer in Stewart and I know he'd do well as a feature guy. BUT! He will never get that chance here in Carolina. He's a good all around back, but he's easily replaced by the combined talents of DWill and Tolbert. The Panthers could use the combo of Will and Tolbert and not miss Stewart a bit IMO. They just signed Tolbert and they won't be able to move DeAngelo's monster contract, so why shouldn't Stewart be the one to go? ( except for the Taz man crush of course ), The overall buzz I get from Panthers fans is confusion over Tolbert's signing, but most seem to think Stewart should be the one to go now given the current 3 back situation.

This is a great signing for Carroll and Schneider. We get a guy with upside and a proven grasp of the west coast system. The Hawks know what Tarvaris is and it isn't great. The $$ paid out is easily manageable if he doesn't pan out, and they can still draft a QB to develop if they feel they need to. I don't see any downside here.

Stewart needs to be the one to go, and it's should not even be a debate IMO. He's only got one year left on his deal and he's had multiple issues with injuries to his feet. He's a very good RB and can bring back value to the Panthers, but his skill set can easily be replaced by Tolbert. Cam has stolen all of Stew's value as a goal line runner anyway. If they can get a second or early third in return I think that CAR would jump on it. They aren't going to openly place him on the market and diminish his value.

I'm gonna be at Caesar's for the weekend and need a good book in that area to watch the games in. The host at Caesar's pretty much told us we were hosed if we expected to get a table in the book for Sunday as all were reserved for bigger volume players. Any recommendations of other hotels in that area of the strip that have good books for betting / watching games and getting loaded? I need a place with access to food and a table for about 6 guys. Also could use a good restaurant recommendation for less than 50 a head if anyone's got one!

Never mind....figured it out

Went out in the garage and the buttons on my wall unit were dark and the opener wouldn't work. Remotes wouldn't activate the opener either. I've got power to the unit because the breaker didn't trip and the sensor light on the opener itself will blink. Any ideas?

I'm shocked he got that deal from Jerry. Everyone here in Charlotte assumed he was gone.

I just got off the phone with the customer retention rep and was told they wouldn't give it to me for less than $204. I told her a few people I knew had got the package for $130 and she basically called me a liar. I cancelled and will call back.

This signing of Jackson makes me sick....I would actually welcome a 1-15 season to get Luck next year. They really think Whitehurst, TJ, and Leinart hold any potential??

A grand for two fans is absurd. I just had a pergola built over my patio, and the electrician I'm using is charging me $300 for wiring the fan, switch, and install of the fan itself. Make some calls to friends who have used an electrician they have been happy with. That quote is out of bounds IMO.

Wow...I'm a dumbazz. I didn't realize we were talking fantasy draft. I'd take Green or Jones depending on which team they land with.

I think Carolina has to go big risk / big reward mode with Newton. No sense going safe with Gabbert when you have a shot at the potentially great in Newton.
