  1. LINK to TO crying scene: watching NFC championship game next week... Crayton: "Hey T.O., you put too much salt on the popcorn." T.O.: "Nah man...that's just my tears..."
  2. is it too early for nominees for "thread of the year"??
  3. just did a youtube search for Hammond...didn't find any football clips, but here he is on NBA Knicks vs. Pacers. http://youtube.com/watch?v=8RZJGCCuC7E i'll take him over Gumbel any day
  4. from rotoworld... Bryant Gumbel will miss the NFL Network's Thursday night broadcast with a sore throat. Rejoice, football fans, rejoice! Tom Hammond will replace Gumbel in a move that rivals Kyle Orton's ascension to starter as the most exciting news of the week.
  5. the "expert" is Brandon Lang HERE is video of a the past couple weeks if you want to see how he did. this weeks video not posted here yet.
  6. i am just wondering what the money line was for the eagles. i know they lost, but just curious. anybody got what it was??
  7. from profootballtalk.com POSTED 10:51 p.m. EST, November 20, 2007 PRIEST TO CALL IT QUITS A league source tells us that Priest Holmes will announce his retirement from the NFL during a Wednesday press conference. Adam Schefter of NFL Network, citing an unnamed source, has a similar report. Holmes re-injured his neck on Sunday. The neck originally was injured in 2005, and he was out of football for all of the 2006 season. The former holder of the single-season touchdown record is signed through 2009. The Chiefs presumably could attempt to recover some bonus money from Holmes, but to do so would be a bad P.R. move.
  8. from SI.com... "It is very possible that I'll be in ownership by next year," Martin said Wednesday. "I expect to be in ownership by next year." http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/foot...r.ap/index.html
  9. from rotoworld Larry Johnson-RB- Chiefs Nov. 11 - 9:42 am et FoxSports.com's John Czarnecki reports that Larry Johnson has a cracked bone in his foot, but the Chiefs are hopeful he'll play again this year. Word is leaking out of Kansas City from multiple sources that Johnson indeed has a broken bone in his foot, but the Chiefs are hoping he can return this year because he can already stand on it. Still, LJ is out next week and the most likely scenario is that he'll miss many games after that. We'd still hang on to him in nearly all leagues. Source: FoxSports.com here is what Czarnecki wrote on foxsports... Denver at Kansas City: RB Priest Holmes starts for the injured Larry Johnson, who has a cracked bone in his foot. Johnson will miss next week and, depending on how he heals, could be sidelined for an extended period. The good thing is that he has been able to put his full weight on the foot, but standing and playing football are two totally different things. Although there are reports that Holmes will share the position with rookie Kolby Smith, the percentages will probably be more like 75-25 for Holmes. Without a doubt, Chiefs coach Herm Edwards is getting itchy and could pull Damon Huard at any time. Broncos QB Jay Cutler will start, but he will be limited rolling out because of a calf injury. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/7433688
  10. i don't post on this thread and i don't bet (anymore...), but i read every post on this thread every week! Dre...the depth you go to gather you data and spin in it into plays each week absolutely amazes me. i appreciate somebody who is passionate about what they do, whatever it may be, and the stats and info that you produce here every week are so full of research and well thought out constucted advice that i can't believe somebody could could think of taking a jab at you. whether you win or lose, all this thread is about is trying to gather as much useful info as possible. and what truly amazes me is when somebody throws out a question like " hey dre, what are the stats on a home dog coming off of 2 road losses on grass" or something like that, and then you respond with 7 or 8 well thought out paragraphs with stats and trends supporting plays. you don't need to do that, but you are here to help. plus you post all the insider plays that people PAY hundreds/thousands of dollars for. keep it up Dre and everybody else that posts on here. F anybody that busts on this thread or your info!!
  11. JUST THINK OF THE DAMAGE YOU AND YOUR COUSINS COULD DO IN A 6 TEAM LEAGUE!!!!!
  12. article from CBS3.com shows the town where Reid's sons are imprisoned is EAGLEVILLE Garrett Reid Taken Into Police Custody Sources: Andy Reid's Son Missed Court Ordered Drug Test EAGLEVILLE, Pa,(CBS 3) ― A son of Eagles coach Andy Reid was taken into custody Tuesday for failing to appear for a court ordered drug test, sources said. Garrett Reid, 24, has been under house arrest for a variety of drug charges stemming from an incident in January. Police said Garrett Reid ran a red light on Jan. 30 in Plymouth Township and hit another car. Police said he admitted to having used heroin earlier in the day, and they reportedly found syringes and drug paraphernalia on him, as well as a variety of pills in his vehicle. Garrett's younger brother, Britt, is currently in jail for weapons and drug charges. Coach Reid has declined comment on his son's legal troubles.

  14. same thing on rotoworld.com... Travis Henry-RB- Broncos Oct. 10 - 10:27 am et NFL Network's Adam Schefter believes it will realistically take a month before Travis Henry could miss an NFL game. This news slipped through the cracks late week. The NFL first has to win their legal case with Henry, then they can suspend him. After that happens (which could take a while), Henry can appeal the suspension, which could take up to a month. It appears Henry will make it to November on the team, and it's possible he makes it through most of the year. Fantasy owners could try to buy low on him in the meantime. Henry missed practice Tuesday to challenge his drug test. Source: NFL.com
  15. from profootballtalk.com POSTED 6:58 a.m. EDT, October 1, 2007 ANOTHER RAY LEWIS-STYLE SITUATION? Keep your eyes and ears open, folks, for news of another ugly incident involving an NFL player. The news, when it breaks, will conjure memories of the Ray Lewis incident from January 2000, although it's currently our understanding that neither of the two victims of a weekend shooting have died, but that one of the victims has potentially life-threatening injuries. It's also not clear whether the NFL player has the person who pulled the trigger. We're hearing that the NFL player in question was merely present. Details could be released soon on this one. For now, we'll only say that the player in question is not Ray Lewis. Lewis was part of a group that was suspected of killing two men during an altercation in Atlanta after Super Bowl XXXIV. Lewis initially was charged with murder, but later pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice. No one was ever convicted for the double homicide.
