OK, Shall we all gloat about our RB's?

They are a bit more even and more difficult to RANK.

I will take a stab at the RB's....
Who are the BEST 2?

1. Alexander/Dillon-I think the best two. Two top 10 Rb's?
How did you do it? Go ahead brag about 'em
2. K. Jones/McGahee-Two potential top 10's. They are good but on two fairly bad
offenses with questionable QB situations. BUT I have seen
both of these guys on a lot of top 10 lists. Good Job!
3. Lewis/D. Davis-They are mine all mine...YEAH! Why didn't I rank these guys #2?
I guess the potential of Jones/Magahee out weigh Lewis coming off
ankle surgery and a somewhat fragile Dom Davis. I still like them.
4. Deuce/T. Bell-Tough call here between 4 and 5. I like these guys slightly better
than Green/J. Jones because Deuce is top 6/7 and Bell has huge
Potential. I have him in another league.
5. Green/J. Jones-Gotta rank these guys ahead of LT/Westbrook and Portis/CuMar
because Westy could lose carries to Buckhalter and Portis didn't
exactly light it up last year and CuMar is a year older.

Those are my thoughts. Please talk...discuss...argue.....fight....whatever.
The Auction is almost over and we GOTTA DO SOMETHING......right?

DO Jaded
I have to agree that wiegie has the best tandem with Alexander and Dillon. Too bad he couldn't find some decent WRs or TEs. rofl.gif

Guess I can always trade him a WR\TE combo for Alexander. I might be hurting for two starting RBs before too long. I didn't want to spend 60 on an RB this year, and all the big guns wnet even higher than that. Maybe I should have kept Edge over Owens, but the price tag would have left me with little else.

I have this sinking feeling my RBs (Arrington, Barlow, Droughns, Bettis) are going to make my head hurt by midseason.

1. Alexander/Dillon
2. K. Jones/McGahee

Maybe the best two aggregate, but IMO both still have a bit to prove. I'd knock these guys down to four and move LT/Westbrook into the 3 spot.

4. Deuce/T. Bel

...and these guys off the top 5 - sure, Bell has potential; that and a cup of coffee got Reuben Droughns the spot as most productive Denver RB ahead of both Bell and Griffin last year. Deuce is productive but a tad inconsistent, just like the rest of the NO offense. Not enough consistency and I tend to avoid the Den running game in drafts as a rule. At the very least I wouldn't want to be counting Tatum Bell for anything except depth.
Los Gigantes
I'd put LT and Westbrook/Caddy up against any of thsoe RB combos.

Oh, so my rankings:

1)Alex/Dillon
2)Lewis/Davis (injury concerns aside)
3)LT/Westbrook (LT is a 2000 total yd, 15 td guy; Westbrook may lose carries, but he should be good for 100 total yds a game and double digit tds)
4)K Jones/McGahee
5)Priest/Iron Fred (both their injury issues are overstated IMO; if healthy, these guys could be devastating)

Finally, my boys got some respect. clap.gif

Chavez,
I AGREE with your top two RB tandems sneaky.gif

I see your point about LT/Westy.
They should be in the top 5.
Not sure who I would take off....I guess no one likes Ahman/J. Jones-
So off they go!

Updated top 5.
1. Dillon/Alex g-bow.gif
2. Dom/Jamal-Up a notch...I didn't want to sound like a braggart g-coach.gif
3. K. Jones/ McGahee-Down a notch because this is my list and I can change my
mind.....
4. Deuce/Bell-I have seen Deuce as high as #4. Bell does have some injury
concerns but SOME Denver RB always seems to light up the NFL.

5. LT/Westy-LT is #1 on everyone's list. Chavez, You have something there.
I just don't think Westy will be that reliable. You have convinced me.

Let's keep talkin'

Yes, gracias. sneaky.gif Hey, you are from Milwaukee as well. Did I know that already?
Big Palooka
Let's see,

I have to go with Dillon/ Alexander also as #1
#2 - Jones / McGahee - My guys! - I'm banking on youthful upside. I don't agree with the claim that they are both in bad offensive situations. Harrington's progress may be slower than many expected, and may never reach his full potential, but he has grown each season and has for the first season in his career the benefit of a full complement of quality receivers this season. I'd hate to see any team stack the box to try and stop Jones. They'll pay dearly. Similarly with Buffalo, good O-line play, quality receivers and albeit an inexperienced receiver, but one who seems to be ready to lead the Bills. There's enough firepower there for teams to respect the pass, giving McGahee the room to move.
#3 - LT / Westy - LT may see fewer touches (receptions) but Westy will provide enough combined yardage to vault them to the 3 spot on my list.
#4 - Dom/ Jamal - Just a hunch, but I'm calling out Davis as the weak link here. Don't know why, but I think Morency may be in the picture sooner rather than later either due to injury or Capers "secret" desire to use a committee of RBs. Mark this spot so you can ask me "how did you know this Palooka?" at the end of the season.
#5 Deuce/ Bell - Love the Deuce, but even if Bell turns out to be the man in Denver, it may be several weeks into the season before that happens.

I'll echo the fact that all the rosters this season look interesting. I'm happy with my roster overall, but the though has crossed my mind that I (or anyone else) might easily have a .500 record or worse even if I manage to throw out big points each week.

It's not that I dislike Ahman/J Jones - I just look at it as "would you rather have this combo or that combo" - Ahman/Julius is not top 5 going into the season IMO, but I wouldn't bet against them ending up there when all is said and done.

As far as Westy, I figure his for a good 15-20 touches per week at over 5 per touch, and close to double digit tds. His total yds and tds should surpass quite a few RBs who top the 1000 rushing plateau. Though whether or not he will be consistent on a week-to-week basis is certainly a point to be made - a quick look shows that he topped 100 total yds in 9 of 13 wks, with 90 in another; if he can stay healthy and match that consistency, he makes a solid complement to LT.
