...though if you feel like driving to Lower Michigan and slapping wiegie around until he coughs up some money, I doubt anyone would object.

works for me. Have y'all ever tried to make it a pay league? It might help with turnover.

Actually, I don't necessarily think it would. But that's just MHO

I didn't make the playoffs in any of my $$ leagues this year. My wife has grounded me from any more pay leagues. I don't want to choose between The Corleone Family and the wife.

His main problem is that he's not sure which endeavor is more successful... shades.gif

I agree. $20 a team at least. Just keeps it more interesting, and it would be nice to keep the same members for a while.

I like things just the way they are....
We were all into it this year....

I am with CLUBHEAD on this one....keep it free...
I don't need another $$$ league....I think it
could be dangerous to mix $$$ in the CORLEONE LEAGUE sneaky.gif

I have decent keepers on the Bleeding team that kept right on BLEEDING g-bash.gif
all of this year.

The poor year out of Jamal and Favre just killed me. crybaby.gif
Dom's injuries didn't help either. Holt was dinged.
The bleeding cream and crimson was the walking wounded. blink.gif

Thomas Jones was a nice surprise but not enough for WINS!

Merry Christmas to all!
wiegie
If we go to a money league we need to clean the slate and wipe away all keepers.

(And, if anyone does ever make it to Grand Rapids, I will gladly cough up some money (to pay for a round or two of beer)). smile.gif

Free is good, but I am not opposed to a nominal fee. If this occurs, I would like to move the league to a better site for searching players and stats, also would like to wipe the slate clean and start fresh.

Preference is to keep it free after all that...

I'm contemplating divorcing my wife so whatever everyone else wants to do is fine.

g-doah.gif I'm working on it. Next year will be all ASP.NET driven. No more of this Cold Fusion stuff. I may even get the injury information working. Didn't have time to update it all by hand this year and I didn't finish the automated portion.

What kind of stats are you not able to look for here?

I just like some of the other sites where stats are sortable and shown as part of the free agent list. More information on front page, like transactions, etc. Yahoo does a nice job and they get better every year. Not sure it is the right option, but some similar , but maybe more robust.

I am out if we NUKE keepers....

I specifically got Eli Manning to hang onto him for awhile.

My season was over very early this year thanks to the outstanding
performances of Jamal Lewis, Brett Favre and Dom Davis- g-bash.gif

I only made that trade with next year in mind. glare.gif

Eli might be a decent FF QB in the years to come.

Jaded,
You have done an good job with the site. I know things aren't as
fancy as other sites but I like it just fine.

Thanks for being commish Jaded!

I wasn't suggesting that we NUKE keepers, I was just saying that it wouldn't be right to go to a pay league if we have the same keepers we have now.

why not? Presumably we didn't draft for keepers any differently with pay or not pay...we're stil trying to wina s many titles as possible, now and down the road...

Although the goal of winning is the same, I don't always use the same strategies in free leagues that I do in money leagues. In free leagues I sometimes like to try fun strategies that may or may not work, but in money leagues I stick to much more straightforward strategies.

I agree with wiegie, although I have keepers that are okay, this was my first time in an auction league and I also inherited a team, so I didn't necessarly do the same things I would have if it were a money league.

redcoltfan
I hope we keep our teams.

Wiegie,
Good thoughts. nice answers.

As stated before, I am OK with keeping everything the same.
Chavez
We could give a salcap penalty for keeping players - a more stringent one than we already have in place, at least.
