Ok Fellas, the entry fee is $20, and we need to collect this before the mock draft.

Send me a PM or AIM if you want to use Snail Mail. Or send your paypal money to Frazia who will post his paypal account here. There will be a service charge for Paypal of a buck or so, Frazia will tell you how much for sure when he posts his info to send those too. Then Frazia will send me the money he collects plus his own to hold to pay out the top 3.

I'm in, and as I noted to Sarge, I'd like to suggest that we run the league as a points-only league. Because this is a test of our drafting skills, I think it would make more sense. We have limited moves and no trades. I think a better representation of our drafts would be a points-only league, like the Huddle's staff league. I'm still in if you all still want to run it as a H2H league, it's just a suggestion. Thoughts?
Sgt. Ryan
I prefer H2H myself, but Im willing to vote on it, with majority ruling.
Swiss Cheezhead
H2H -- I kinda disagree that total points is the best indicator of a "good draft". I usually focus on players with a lot of consistency who will help me get a good composite score each week, rather than players who might boom one week and bust the next, thus costing me victories.

Yeah, I'm splitting hairs, but I'd prefer a league like this mimic most others.

Then we should have more moves and allow trades.

I dont see how this is relevant but moves went to 10 this yr, so Id say that is plenty.

He said his aim was to have the league operate like most others. Don't most leagues allow trades?

For the record, I'm fine either way. It's just my opinion that a points-only league better represents the drafting of steadier, consistent players.

Total pts is not a typical league, and it allows a freak week by a player to benefit more than just a week, which unrealistic to the NFL, which is what Fantasy Football is supposed to be based off. If Indy wins 35-7, they dont get to take any of those pts to the next game, I never understood the logic of letting that happen in FF. Matchups is what this is about, and we dont allow trades to keep the teams as close to the same as the original drafted team. I like that aspect of this redraft league, and think 10 moves is plenty to handle injuries, bye weeks, etc.

I didn't say total points was a typical league. Swiss said that he wants it to operate like a typical league, so I suggested we add in trading and more moves.

It was just a suggestion, as I'm sure many of us have many leagues to track and operating a points-only league is sometimes easier to manage on a day-to-day basis.

Again, I am fine with H2H or points-only. It was a suggestion to stir up discussion.

In, and if you want to actually know strength of team, you go by "all play" and not H2H or total points ...

"All play" obviously meaning you play every team every week ...

MFL keeps a nice running total for you ...

I can't remember, are trades allowed in this league? I'm not looking at trading a pick, but am considering drafting some trade bait.
