Full Version: Potential Rule Changes

I am now in the process of reviewing the rules to see which areas (if any) might use some tweaking. If there are any particular aspects of the league that you would like to see work differently, please say so here. This isn't the time to debate or vote, just brainstorm and raise issue. I'll come back in a week or two with specifics that we can put to votes or hash out in more detail.

For example, two areas that I would like to see addressed:
- putting points per reception to another vote;
- changing the IR rules so that once a player is on IR, he can't come off during the season.

I'm in favor of the IR rule change, but not the other.

What is happening with the possible rule changes? Will the current IR ruling be affected?

Blast you, Flypaste. AGAIN people expect to me to do actual work around here. Pffft.

Okay, this time I *really* mean it: basic, revised rules coming out this week. Since the draft has already gone down, there will be no major changes to scoring, line up, etc. Anything significant (like IR changes) will be put to a vote. All voting will end with the sooner of: (1) 12 votes in the poll; or (2) midnight before the first regular season game.

Assuming anyone has a suggested change to the rules they'd like considered, please PM me with a suggestion that is at least somewhat coherant, and at least partially thought through. Suggested rule changes that are obvious by-products of drunken buffonery will be mocked without mercy.

I would like to see us go to decimal scoring. I don't know if it would have changed any of the games this past year, but I know that I won or lost a few by a point or two, and decimal scoring might have changed the out come.

I concur. That one's definatley going on the ballot.

Given that I was involved in a tie this season, I wouldn't be opposed to decimal scoring.
DaFreak
Agreed, lets get rid of ties....

I know I'm the new guy here, but were we going to be voting on this? Just looking at last year's roster, and trying to figure out who I might keep for this season.
