Draft

Draft will be 28 rounds. snake format. Dice roll will determine draft position, as well as the 4 divisions.

Timer begins at 8 AM, and ends at Midnight each weekday - Monday through Friday. Timer is off on weekends, but drafting is to continue on Saturday and Sunday. Each Owner has 12 hours to make a pick during drafting hours, and if fails to do so, gets bumped to the end of the round

College draft is reverse order of NFL draft

Trades

Trades will be reviewed by Commisioners and manadate a 24 hour review time, so any trade must be made 24 hrs prior to kickoff to use in current weeks games.

Trades can be vetoed here at the message board, but you must have a genuine reason to do so, not because someone will get better and someone will get worse. Collusion will not be tolerated and can force removal from the league without compensation.

Trade Deadline will be Tuesday at midnight CST after week 10s games.
Trades must be posted at the message board for league review, and once accepted, the commish can make the changes in MFL, after 24 hr review period.

Waivers

Each team is given $50 to use on waivers throughout the year, in which they can spend or trade. Waivers are done on the MFL website under on Owners, on Thursday night at 11 PM ET automatically, and FCFS waivers begin at 1 hr afterward, until 1 hr before kickoff of the 1st game. Waivers are closed 1 hr before kickoff of the first game. You may begin bidding on waivers on Tuesday at 2 AM ET until Thursday at 10:59 PM ET, then waivers are automatically run at 11 PM ET each thursday. To bid on a player go to waiver, under the Owners function and bid whatever you wish. Once waivers are run for the week, all FCFS waivers will cost $5 per pickup. A post must be put in the message board in order to get the waiver. Automatic Waivers start in week 2, through the end of the fantasy football regular season, week 13. No waivers are allowed during the fantasy playoffs.

playoffs

3 division winners and 3 wildcards.

tiebreakers
In the event of a tie, head to head or 3+ way head to head is the first tie breaker, with total points next, and most points given up is next. Most points given up is a version of strength of schedule. Once a tie has been broken going through step 1, then 2 if needed, and finally 3 if necessary, you start the process over, if there are teams tied after first tie has been broken

Example 1, I beat Perch, Perch beats me, Ohio State loses to me, I win the tiebreaker, with a 2-1 record, vs Perch 1-1, and OSU 0-1, again, once a tie is broken, you redo the process. In this scenerio, OSU and Perch did not play, so they go to total points, then points allowed if necessary.

Example 2, I beat perch, lose to Ohio St, and Perch beats Ohio St, with each of us having a 1-1 record, total points determines the first team in. Say OSU had the most total points, so he advances, and if another tiebreaker is needed for another spot, we go back to head to head between those 2 teams tied. So the winner of that game now matters, where in the first tiebreaker there was a 3 way tie.

top 2 division winneres get byes

3rd division winner plays the lowest wildcard based on record
other 2 wildcard play each other.

Overall #1 seed plays the lowest remaining seed in the 2nd round of the playoffs, and the #2 seed plays the other winner of week 1 in the playoffs. Then the 2 winners in that round play for all the marbles.

Setup a 2nd pool for the toilet bowl with the remaining 6 seeds. Throw say $25 to the winner of that bracket.

College player rules, per vote.

1) College player draft occurs after the regular draft, in the reverse order.
2) Each team has 1 pick each year, seniors and juniors only.
3) Drafted college players go on to a taxi squad the following year, and can remain on the taxi squad 1 yr, before you have to activate them. The year drafted does not count as a DTS yr, as all players are still in school that yr. If you draft a Junior and they play their Senior season, that season counts as their DTS yr, and they are activated the next yr, in this case their rookie yr. If you draft a Senior or a Junior who comes out early, you can let them sit on your DTS 1 full season, before having to activate them.
4) a DTS player can not be used, until activated. Once activated their eligibility for your college player ends at week 16 of that yr. So if you activate a college player for the league playoffs, you burned their red shirt yr, AKA DTS eligibility, and they go back in the main NFL draft the next yr.

Modifed college player terminology for simplicity.

Looks good. One question: will there be fractional points?

A ) Each team is given $50 play money to use on waivers throughout the year, in which they can trade some of their cash if they choose, and bids can be open to the public on the message board similar to FA in the other IDP leagues. Bidding will begin Tuesday at 2 pm CST, and end at Wed 2 PM CST. Highest bid gets the player. After Wed waiver period, bids are FCFS until kickoff of said weeks game, with an automatic $5 bid

According to the schedule post, 8/12 is the deadline to finalize the rules.

--I have posted a poll regarding changing the payout structure.
--The rules do not currently discuss a schdule, 11 game round robin, with 2 rival games, as per the poll?
--3 points for a sack, the same as a safty? Seems high
-- 3 points for a fumble and 6 points for a fumble TD, will than be 9 points in total?
-- How come when you look a player stats from 2005, it is not giving points for defensive TDs?
-- Based on the poll, I think Waivers is a done deal.

currently being debated

--3 points for a sack, the same as a safty? Seems high safety is a fluke, sacks are what makes DL's worthy of being drafted earlier than the last round

-- 3 points for a fumble and 6 points for a fumble TD, will than be 9 points in total? yep, the highest scoring play in fantasy football is sacking a QB, forcing a fumble, recovering that fumble in the endzone

-- How come when you look a player stats from 2005, it is not giving points for defensive TDs? Ill look, not sure

-- Based on the poll, I think Waivers is a done deal. Yep

NFL.com is the offical site of player positions. MFL can be updated to match NFL.com. So before drafting one of the hybrid DL/LB, check out NFL.com to see where they have them listed.

link to NFL.com

http://www.nfl.com/teams

click on depth chart of the individual team. If a player is listed at more than one position, then he can be eligible for both.

Read 'em. 2 Points.

Decimals used for scoring = 0 on MFL, but we're using decimal scoring, right? Or am I reading MFL wrong?

Time Zone on MFL is set to ET (which the world prefers biggrin.gif ), but we're using CT for the draft, so that might be confusing, heh?

decimal scoring is fixed. Ive emailed MFL about CT, instead of ET. That may change, to ET, but the times will be moved an hour forward, so the time frame for FA is still 2 PM CT Tuesday to 2 PM CT Wednesday. As I usually go into meetings each day after 2, CENTRAL TIME.

Whats the hold up?
Sgt. Ryan
Im not going to edit the rules, but there is a mistake. We have 4 divisions, not 3, so its the 4 division winners and 2 wildcards. Not 3 and 3 as stated above.

Hey Sarge...when I click the link to read the rules on our site, it takes me to another league. Where is the link for the written copy of the rules so I make sure I fully understand them?

Thanks!
