the Rule

A ) Each team is given $50 play money to use on waivers throughout the year, in which they can trade some of their cash if they choose, and bids can be open to the public on the message board similar to FA in the other IDP leagues. Bidding will begin Tuesday at 2 pm CST, and end at Wed 2 PM CST. Highest bid gets the player. After Wed waiver period, bids are FCFS until kickoff of said weeks game, with an automatic $5 bid

To answer some questions

Bids during the waiver period Tuesday at 2 Pm, until waivers close Wed at 2 PM, are posted on the Message board, and upped as owners see fit to get a player. The minimum bid is $1, with each increase bid by at least $1, as bids are done in whole $ increments, not say $1.50. If a bid is currently at $1, you must bid $2 to be the current high bid.

New Opening Bid posts must be done 1 hr prior to the end of the waiver period. This is done so multiple people do not post the same player at the last second and we have to sort out which was done first. Once a thread is created for a player, only bids inside that thread are allowed. If a new thread is created for a player already on the message board, it will be deleted.

If you choose to wait until after the waiver period, you can pick up a player FCFS at MFL after the waiver period of Wed 2 PM each week for $5. Obviously if you only use this format, you will only have 10 adds on the season.

When you open a bid on a player, it needs to be done in this format.

The week we are going into, the player name, the position and the team. This will help track current FA from those from weeks past, in case a thread is not closed when it should be. It also makes it easier to find bids for cap reasons.

Week 1 - Troy Aikman - QB - Dallas

Edited to add by theeohiostate:

ATTENTION FOR WAIVER CLARIFICATION OF TIMING OF BIDS AND REQUESTS:

No bidding money will be carried over from year to year.

All waiver requests posts must be submitted by 1 PM Central Time , 12:59 and 1:00 posts will be accepted NOT 1:01 or afterwards.

All bidding for players posts must be submitted by 2 PM Central Time , 1:59 and 2:00 posts will be accepted, NOT 2:01 or afterwards.

For any bids that are in same amount and posted at the same time, the post listed first wins the auction.

I think this clears in confusion that may occur during the last minutes of the bidding.

In regards to selling your drops
After getting some questions and talking with Sarge i wanted to get some information to you that may be helpful to all of us through the bye weeks.

Dropped players can be sold to other owners, the catch is, they must be sold before they are posted in the Drops thread.

I will be posting a thread immediantely following the waivers on Wednesday's at 3:00 EST TIME , 2:00 Central. It will be made for the purpose of dealing your drops, before you have to offically announce them. You can trade, sell whatever you'd like. This is not a new rule by any means as we've had a few sales of potentail dropped players already, this is to clarify the process and encourage the action to save some money rather then spending $5 in FCFS.

Guidelines are , once waivers are over at 3:00 est/2:00Central, you can share with the league your potential drops (perferably in the thread i create) , since we have already stated that there is a 24-Hour time limit from the end of waivers to the time when official drops must be posted, you have that amount of time to work your deals. Please make a INDIVIDUAL post when/if you get a deal for any of your players.

Hope this helps clear the matter up and any questions lemme know.

I put an example of how the opening bid should look in this thread. This will be pinned. Please use this format to open bids.

The upcoming week, player, position, team.

Why not do blind auction? Just a suggestion from another Texas fan biggrin.gif
Sgt. Ryan
This was already voted on. Blind Auction isnt nearly as much fun. Wait till the cock blocking starts, that is fun.
URLACHERisGOD
Wouldn't it be easier to do the Auction on MFL?
Sgt. Ryan
Easier maybe, but this is more fun trust me.
