Commish, you are allowing the Mike Bell pick up in the 13th round?

Nothing was ever said that we were able to pick players not in the draft pool. I feel that all of us had no idea that players not on MFL could be drafted.

The funny thing is that Mike Bell was in MFL. I looked right after I saw the proxy pick...

He was not on MFL until that night. They added him overnight due to him being named the starter. They do not list rookies who are not listed as 1 or 2 string or drafted high. We have been trying to add H Baskett(SP?) WR PHI., but they will not until he is listed as 1 or 2 string.

I was dreading the whole Mike Bell thing in this league too. I fully expected a draft stoppage to decide what to do about it. Since the pick was made 2 full days after the news of Bell being the starter (pre-season week 1 starter, that is), and the player was in MFL to be picked, I'm letting it go. No one made any fuss or even brought it up until after the entire draft was complete, so I believe it to be a dead issue. We can amend next years' rules to cover this situation.

If anyone believes Mike Bell is actually the starter, or will be by the 3rd game of the season...I've got a nice plot of land up in Wisconsin that I can sell you cheap! Of course you'll have to get rid of Yukon and the rest of the homesteaders that are currently squatting on it...
