this is where u can find all your gwpffl legislation.
GWPFFL CONSTITUTION
THE DRAFT:
-The gWpFFL Draft will be the 3rd Saturday in June each year (unless a changed is approved on a seasonal basis). ALL coaches are expected to be there.
-If you are going to miss the gWpFFL draft, an excuse will be needed at least 48 hours prior to be submitted for approval.
-A draft pick signifies a 3 year contract with a player. After a player has been w/ a team for 3 consecutive years w/o being exposed to the draft, the existing team has the option to sign that player for 3 more years w/ a 1st round pick or the combination of a 2nd and 3rd round pick.
THE HUDDLE: http://www.thehuddleleagues.com/ubb/ultima...?ubb=forum;f=69
-All trades and roster actions must be on our huddle message board to count. If they aren't there, they did NOT happen! Roster actions include having a keeper list at the end of the season, posting starters, picking up players, etc.
THE NAME:
-You may choose the name of your team but it may be no more than 3 words, there can't be a team by that name already & it cannot be sexually explicit.
THE STARTERS:
-As of the 2004 season, teams are only given one week in which they can get by w/o posting starters. This will be the 12/13 rule, not posting at least 12 times will make you ineligible for the postseason. No excuses. If you are in a situation where you cannot make this commitment to the league, you should not be in the league anyway, you should be focusing on the life you have before you. Outside of the 12/13 rule is the CHOOSING not to post starters for the week. If you blatantly choose not to post starters w/ no excuse whatsoever deemed credible by the league offices, you will receive a 0. If something has come up that bad that does not permit you from taking 2 minutes to post starters each week, they will be checked out thorougly.
-Starters are due at 11:59 pm est the night before the first game of the week. If a game is on Saturday that week, starters are due at 11:59 pm est on FRIDAY! These MUST be posted on the huddle.
-As being ineligible for the postseason if not obeying the 12/13 rule, your draft position will be between the playoff teams and the non playoff teams who complied and it will be according to record. If you were ineligible for the postseason but had a postseason worthy record, you will move to the back of the draft.
THE TRADE:
-The Trade Deadline is one hour after Monday Night Football ends on Week 7
-If you trade for a player after the gWpFFL Super Bowl, they MUST be among your final 3 keepers!
-Trade Vetoes: all challenged trades will come before the gWpFFL coaches. If the trade is vetoed by 50% of the coaches, it is ruled invalid. Certain teams are allowed towork without trade restrictions amongst each other. To join the no restrictions amongst group, 2 years of gWpFFL service is required and then you must be unanimously
chosen for the group. This group consists of:
AddedFX
Hardcore Hollys
JOB Squad
Meyers
Nashville Disasters
People's Elbow
-If no league member asks for a vote on a trade, then it will be finalized. All trades are pending for 24 hours, if noone voices any disapproval, then they go into motion, if there is disapproval, it will be subject to review by the office of the gwpffl coaches.
THE KEEPER:
-Keepers and preliminary keepers are due at the date mandated by the league. Failure to meet this date means that the commissioning council picks your keepers for you and
do not sign any potential free agents on your roster. In 2004, the preliminary/free agent deadline is Jan. 26, if u make someone a preliminary keeper and they are a free agent
following the 2003 season, then you sacrifice a 1st round or a 2nd/3rd combo for them, if you don't specify which, we will always assume its a first rounder. You are allowed
to keep five people in preliminary keepers. The final 3 keepers will be named as of June 1 and are official for the 2004 season!
-For the remainder of the gWpFFL, preliminary keepers will be due on the Monday following the NFL Super Bowl and official keepers will be due on June 1 of the same year.
-3 keepers are chosen each season, deadline for keepers and who are eligible to be a keeper are both separate rules.
-5 preliminary keepers are allowed, but only three are taken from that group going into the gWpFFL draft.
THE SCORE:
-Offense: 1 pt per 5 yds rushing, 1 pt per reception, 1 pt per 10 yards receiving, 1 pt per 20 yds passing, 6 pts per td, 9 pts for a td of 50 yards or over, and 2 pts for a 2 point conversion.
-Defense/Special Teams: 1 pt per sack, 1 pt per interception, 1 pt per fumble recovery, 5 pts per 25 int return yards, 5 pts per 100 kick return yards, 6 pts for a td, 9 pts for a td of 50 yards or over, and 2 pts for a safety.
-Kicking: 1 pt per extra point kick after touchdown, 3 pts for a field goal, 6 pts for a field goal of 45 yards or over.
-In the event a player has negative yards receiving for the entire day, they do NOT get any points for catches on that certain day!
-If you are the #1 seed in the playoffs, you get a 15 point home field advantage against your opponent in the divisional playoffs where you will be facing a #4 or #5 seed. #2 seeds gets a 10 point home field advantage against his opponent, the #3 seed in the divisional playoffs. In the Wildcard, the #4 seed gets a 5 point advantage over the #5 seed. The Super Bowl is on a neutral field and there is no advantage. The point of the home field advantage is to reward teams for regular season excellence.
THE TIEBREAKER --- SINGLE GAME AND PLAYOFFS
SINGLE GAME: If a game ends in a tie after all 8 starters on each team are accounted for, then that game goes into Overtime. The winner is then determined by whoever has the better Taxi Squad (Back ups). Defenses are excluded in that situation.
PLAYOFF TIEBREAKERS: Here is the gWpFFL Tiebreaking system in case of a tie.
1. Head to Head
2. Points For
3. Points Against
4. Divisional Record *only in case of two teams from the same division*
5. Record vs Common Opponents
6. Average Margin of Victory
THE ROSTER:
-The roster topic on the huddle MUST be updated as any roster change is made, official rosters will be checked along w/ starters each week starting in the 2004 season. A list of ineligible players will be posted just as the topic is locked and that player will score 0 for the week in question. 2 violations will result in a forfeiture of that particular game. In the event of a forfeiture, we will keep the scores of the eligible players, we will just declare the person not in violation the winner regardless of the score!
-Waiver wire: This is a little known fact, there is a waiver priority for players dropped within the last week and that goes by records. After a player has been on the waiver wire for 24 hours, he becomes a free agent. If you make a waiver claim, you go to the back of the line.
-Free Agents: Free Agents are first come first served.
THE QUITTER:
-If you intentionally forfeit a game, you are fired as a head coach. Determining if someone has intentionally forfeit will be left up to the commissioning council.
THE PRO BOWL:
-Winning coach from each conference coaches the pro bowl or chooses the coach for the pro bowl! If they so choose, they can pick a different coach from their conference, one skill position from each team must be in the pro bowl, otherwise, that coach has free reign w/ whoever he wants from that particular conference.
THE END:
-Any action in gWpFFL not mentioned in the constitution is subject to the review and ruling by the commissioning council! Everything that is mentioned is subject to be ammended.
