1. more flexibility in lineups:

we were pretty split on this in the offseason (enough not to change the current rules). i would like us to move to something more like:

1 rb, 2 wr, 1 te (2 flex)

my first preference would be to have no wishbone, no empty backfield..... but more flexibility is more important to me.

2. first come, first served free agency after the ww:

having only one opportunity per week to pick up players is too limiting imo. adding a fcfs after ww allows us to make more informed decisions closer to game time. i would have no problem with some type of hold on dropped players (ie: 24, 36, or 48 hrs).

We can address this again in the offseason next year, but wouldn't 2 flex positions still put it up to a possible 3 RBs?...I still like the mandatory 1RB/3WR/1TE and 1Flex...something like that

This is a good idea and something I've been thinking about as well. My thoughts would be to up the credits some and then all transactions on the FCFS period cost about 2 credits each. Any players dropped, in my opinions, should still be locked until the following week...we'll discuss and put to a vote next spring.

Don't care about starting lineup requirements. It is what it is. I like flexibility as much as the next guy. Especially if she's about 5'5" and 115 lbs.

FCFS = the best cave idea ever. clap.gif

I think since we started this league with the ability to start 3 rbs...it seems we have enough people that want to keep it that way, that we're kind of locked into being able to do that every year.

But I do think...with being able to start those 3 rbs, and the rb whores this league has in it, it can be difficult to field two starting rbs sometimes. So I do think it would be a good idea to allow teams to go 4 wide and 1 rb with their starting lineups.

You never know, it could change up draft strategies some. It might also loosen up some fingers on some of you guys during the season and make it possible to pry a RB away from someone in trades. think.gif

it just never made sense that we are able to go with a wishbone, but cannot start 1-4-1...... i personally do not like the wishbone in ff, but feel that what i am proposing is a decent compromise.... those that want to go with a wishbone can, while still giving other options to the league as a whole.

Every year its the same.

Ban the flex. There is no position in football called the flex. Flex is designed to allow owners that can't construct a winning team an opportunity to have a second chance. The RB decision is the crux of fantasy football. Is a marginal RB worth more than a great WR. DO NOT take away from fantasy football by creating a FLEX position out of thin air. BAN THE FLEX

I may be a loser but I will take it like a man. The RB whore vs the best player drafter gives an interesting challenge each year. With flex the whole competition becomes just draft the highest scoring player. All you need is a cheat sheet to do that. BAN THE FLEX.

Oh, I need to add another point. BAN THE FLEX

no... but a coach is not limited to 1 formation

coming from you that is funny. nfl teams have deeper rosters than ff owners...plus we need to account for bye weeks.

it's not the flex, it's the wishbone

gee, i guess i'm just not a man. jim, never meet me on the street! i was always taught that if you don't like something try to change it.... so i am doing so.

no... cheat sheets are speculation... nothing is certain (unless you get a healthy top 3 back).

understand bear doesn't want to implement any changes this year, but think that the fcfs after our waiver period helps everyone (for a uniform price)......
