I'm confused as to how this contest works now that we're down to season's end - the rules thread states that after week 13, the top 8 make the playoffs, and it seems that then all 8 teams then start with a clean slate (in terms of points scored, I assume whoever you used in weeks 1 through 12 remain unavailable).

But then in the week 11 scoring thread, our erstwhile leader Skippy confused the heck out of me:

"Yes the top 8 make the playoffs. (We will need to adjust that down next year if we have a group this small)

No the payout is not WTA. It is;
1st = 60% of money collected
2nd = 25% of money collected
3rd = 15% of money collected

And this year it is going to go to the final standings since we all paid to play."

I must be thick, what does "it is going to the final standings" mean?

My interpretation was:
The top 8 teams from week #13 go on to Week #14 and the slates are erased but not players played!
The top 4 from week #14 seed 1-4 & 5-8 are eliminated
Week #15 seed 1 plays 4 & 2 plays 3 from week #14 scores.
Week #16 winner of 1/4 plays 2/3 for 1st and second place
The highest total from the 2 losers gets 3rd place $$ and #4 nothing

I'm sorry EnD. In years past we paid the winner at the end of the regular season since not everyone was a money players. In other words who ever was number one at the end of this week would be the winner of the money.

Now that we are all money players we are playing to the very end for the money. In other words now you must win the playoffs to win the money.

Other than that it sure looks like RR has the rest posted correctly.
