Why would the tie-breaker be total season points?

Seems to me like the goal in this league is to make the top 8 with the least amount of points, conserving the best players for the playoffs. Having regular season total points as a tie-breaker goes against that strategy.

I also wondered about that in the seeding ... the top seed faced the bottom seed. But the bottom seed, by virtue of being the bottom seed likely has more studs left and is truely the top seed.

I have no input other than to say that I did not make these rules up. I just sort of inherited what Keg made up. I personally would be all for changing that format next year and totally doing away with the Head 2 Head playoff format. I would also be willing to do away with that tiebreaker but like I said that was all written and in place before I took over.

Another thing to consider is that if we only have a small group of 11 owners then it is pretty silly to have 8 of them make the playoffs. 50% tops, IMO. However, that will all be worked on before next year. As for now, we go with what he have written.

Yup ... 8 out of 11 was too many.

I wasn't asking for changes this year ... I know better than that ... but raising a topic for discussion.

Not necessarily. Maybe the lower ranked team has used more studs, but didnt choose the weeks to play them as effectively as the higher ranked team.
