It's July and the season is looming. Where are we at?

Do we have a full league?
What are the Divisions
Are we still considering expending to 16?
When and where is the draft?
Will the Fabulous Danes ever field a winning team?

These are the questions that plague the minds of mankind

1 & 2. Yes. Sorry but I could have sworn I went over this in another thread but apparently it either got deleted or I am on crack. See below:

3. I don't know. With the 3-division setup, 16 teams won't work. I think we're fine as-is. Thoughts?

4. The draft is going to have to be online (perhaps live) again. I know there's several of us that have a lot going on this summer.

5. See Chargerz' response, above. smash.gif

I'll get the MFL page setup (hopefully this weekend). Shouldn't be too hard as we are keeping the same scoring, I'll just need to restructure the division alignment, etc.

Also, will make sure the league payment thread is updated so those that didn't carry over their fees can think about getting the money in to me (assuming the league still is okay with me being treasurer).

We also discussed having a commish committee that was made up of one representative from each division, thus giving us an equally represented commission. Are we going to do this? I know Darin and I (though I shouldn't speak for Darin, but if IIRC this is true) would volunteer to hold over as commishes for the year we would just need a NorCal representative. Not a lot to do really unless a dispute arises for some reason.

And to clarify, for playoffs, we would have the 3 division winners (with the two highest getting byes) and then the 3 top overall non-division winners. As we no longer have the norcal/socal split, we would go away from the separation of conferences for the playoffs?

I'd be interested in representing the NorCal Division

12 team league with three divisions works well and if we ever hope to do a live draft again 12 GM's
available on the same day is much more doable than 16.

Twelve teams are plenty, IMO!
