That Katrina thread still literally brings a lump in my throat. I've learned over this past couple of years that the emotions of that time will never be far away, nor will the feeling I got from the genuine concern of all of the Huddle. Believe me, that was more help to me emotionally at the time than I could have ever imagined.

Funny, my Mom asked me the other day if I still had the videos I took after the storm. I was a bit taken when she asked if I was ok with watching them again. Truth told the answer is no, but I know it's something that I can't hide from so I will. It helps having someone there watching who knows how it feels.

I just reread a few of these threads and they still leave me speechless.

I reread the Katrina thread yesterday and caught myself with tears in my eyes more than once. I still vividly remember the emotions going through me that Sunday morning and afternoon trying to get everyone out of here.

My guess is that will always be the case for any of us who experienced Katrina first hand, in some way, shape, or form. I've talked to many people who went through or were in some fashion affected by other significant hurricanes -- Betsy (New Orleans 1965), Camille (Miss. coast 1969), Andrew (FL 1992), and Ivan (FL 2004) among others -- and the emotions of those times come back very quickly as well.

It is actually very nice to see some goodness still left in our world today.
