thanks for putting this up for a vote......

voted for 1st option

I dislike first come first served. This provides a built-in advantage for those with immediate computer access. If Romo goes down on Saturday the allert Cave Dweller can pick up his backup cheap or maybe pick up the Def the Cowboys are going against that week. Too much of a potential advantage.

it would be after the already existing ww. it's less of a mad dash for the leftovers, rather an opportunity for all of us to grab a last minute player when ours has been questionable all week, then is scratched...and your others have byes, etc. shoot... i even be ok with a freeze of some sort for dropped players.....

An option only passes if it gets 7 votes, correct? Just wondering how this will be handled? Of nothing gets 7 votes, but we have a 'Popular choice' like we do now, will we have a second yes/no vote for the popular option? If one choice gets 7 votes, that's a majority and unnecessary, right?

I understand the purpose. I just believe that the league is better served by not giving advantages to those with easy computer access. If you are at work or I am in an airplane and an injury or demotion is announced then other owners will have an advantage because they can jump on the opportunity.

I believe that the roster is large enough that the owners should "cover all the bases".

It's all a matter of opinion and preference. There is no right or wrong. My preference is to always err on the side of the "level playing field". First come, first served distorts the playing field.

I tend to agree with this...being a guy that has much better computer access than most.

-agree

-disagree because it is held from after ww until kickoff..or until whatever day/time is agreed upon. having the ability to pick someone up after the ww helps everyone..... even on those occations where we are not able to get to a comp 15 min before kickoff. very similar to lineup submissions imo....

Not really...I basically put it to a vote as I wanted to get a feel for what everybody was interested in. I tend to side with Jimbo on this one though, FCFS is pretty one-sided when it comes to who has the better computer access...but we'll see what everybody is thinking and go from there. We may have to do something like another FA period for scraps up until Friday or Saturday night...or maybe just extend our current FA system to another day or two.

Is there a downside to having the free agent distributions happen on Saturday? Do you manually perform waivers Adrian? I guess it would be a pain for you to have all of your weekends tied up with that task. Just thought that I would ask.

i would not have a problem with a 2nd ww, though i do not want to further burden bear.

I do manually perform waivers but it generally doesn't take that long. The only problem with doing on Saturday that I can see is the increased number of games being played on Fridays and Saturdays now. We do work around that currently on the Thanksgiving day games and such so I'm sure we can work out something around those games as well...let's just get a few more thoughts on the matter and then try and come up with a solution we all can live with.

i guess all i want is opportunity at it's latest in the week with the least amount of effort from bear.....
