If no one has any objections, I'd like to reset the divisions each year based on draft position.
Division 1 would be teams picking 1, 4, 7, 10.
Division 2 would be teams picking 2, 5, 8, 11.
Division 3 would be teams picking 3, 6, 9, 12.
I don't object as long as the teams in my division suck.

Has anyone ever run 4 division 2 conference league? or just 4 divisions? Play everyone in your division twice and everyone else in the league once.
It makes the divisions less competitive, but if you run conf. then I think it helps to even the playing field and addresses the competitive issue. 2 division winner and 1 wild card from each conference. Just a thought. Maybe the league has already tried this and knows better how these things work.
Comments and suggestions from the new guy.

My general outlook is: Why change just for the sake of change.
I truly don't care, but I also truly don't see it as a 'necessary' change.

Mainly because the current schedule has division opponents play twice, and at least one non-division opponent never. With the same ownership over a few years, and a static schedule, I think it makes sense to mix things up from year-to-year.

You will find that I am generally against changing league stuff. Not adamant about it, but most of the time my vote is to stay the same. I also won't put up a major stink either way
