So, I had hoped I wouldn't have to make the Larry Johnson choice, but picking at number 4 it is almost a foregone conclusion. I did not expect Addai to go three, though.

What can I say, I have faith that LJ is a true beast at RB, and will play for the Chiefs in week one.

i was bummed, i though he may slip through to me at 6 , i was able to nab him in 2 other drafts with the 6th and 7th picks. With the news, a deal is close to getting done, he's back in my top 3 .

What I find funny is that people are kind of down on him anyways. last year was a 'down' year as the #3 player in FF biggrin.gif

Yep, you had to take him at 4 especially with things looking up from KC's camp.

FWP at 7 is the best value yet. Argument could be made for him at 4.

In a PPR league I'll respectfully disagree. The 7th pick would be the absolute earliest I would have taken Parker.

Exactly. Holdout aside, all I keep hearing is the wear and tear on his body blah blah. This guy is young and has only played 1 1/2 seasons of real NFL football.

I like FWP at 7. I think he will perform about there. Thought about SA and really could have gone either way, but I think Parker will catch more balls, while rushing for about the same yards and TD's.

I HOPE!

Midway through the 3rd round and the draft is going pretty much as expected thus far. Some minor surprises, but nothing that makes me shake my head and say "awful pick". A few comments:

1) I was surprised to see Travis Henry drop as low as he did and he's a nice grab for Apoc in the 2.05 spot.

2) Double WR taken by Evil Monkey is a bold move. This may be the year to do this as there are so many questions once you get past the top 7 or 8 running backs. Of course, it may fail big time... In any case, a WR core with Smith and Johnson is deadly.

3) I'm a bit surprised Manning wasn't taken in the 2nd round. It was real tempting to take him with my 2/3 turn, but I couldn't do it and sacrifice any hope of a decent, definite starter at the RB2 slot. Here's to hoping Lynch will be as strong as I think he can be this year. (Damn you Fear and Loathing for taking Jones-Drew right before me.)

4) Even though I expect big things from him, Javon Walker may be the guy that I think was taken a bit too early in this draft. I would rather of had Roy Williams or Andre Johnson before Walker. You might have been able to get him with your 4.08 pick. Then again some would say I reached for Lynch, so what do I know?

5) I am a bit surprised that Addai was taken with the 3rd overall pick. This goes to show that we can't pay too much attention to the Huddle sheets. For the record, I love Addai this year, but still like Gore better. RockBottom got a nice surprise when Gore fell to him at the 1.05 pick.

6) One little tweak/injury scare and we see how a player can drop. Jones would have been snatched up (I think) in the mid to late 2nd round, but with this little ankle thing, people stayed away from him too early. I think it's a great pick for Zug Zug. The only reasons I took Lynch over Jones was because I'm worried about him sharing carries with Washington and I just picked him in a draft yesterday and didn't need the possible headache on two teams. I'll probably regret passing on him, but so be it.

Never fun to see the exact two guys you wanted go right before your pick. I didn't think I'd be able to get both Cooley and Jackson, but with two picks to go, it was looking good that I might get one of them. To make matters worse, the draft between my 6/7 and 8/9 turns went exactly how I had hoped they wouldn't kicksrock4.gif smile.gif
