I spoke to Denny this morning and we're thinking about starting the waiver wire process this Friday. We're thinking that the initial waiver order will be the same order that we used to select our draft positions (not to be confused with the draft order itself... a list of this draft position selection order is on our league page at The Huddle). If anybody has an issue with the date or priority order, feel free to contact one of us.

I'm leaving the time on Friday up to Denny, who is pretty busy at work until the end of the week. I would assume that waivers would execute at the same time as last year... which was something like 7 ET/4 PT on Wednesday or Thursday (forgot which).

If you guys feel strongly enough about changing that, we'd be open to suggestions.

So, are you saying the wire opens tonight to make claims for next Wednesday? Or, should I already be able to make WW claims? It looks as of right now; I'm not able to make any WW claims at all.


EDIT: Never mind, I re-read the thread. It looks like the wire opens tonight, and will execute those claims next Wednesday. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't know. Denny said that he'd take care of it, but I know that he was busy with something important at work this week. So it might not happen until later today.

Good enough. If that is the case then I would suggest pushing the whole process back to sometime next week. Maybe mid-week?
Not sure how much longer I will be around tonight and this weekend. I would like to have a fair shot at the WW but the later it gets the less likely that scenario becomes.

Again, correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought you were simply OPENING the waiver wire tonight. And not processing any of those claims until next Wednesday, right? Cause as of right now, I'm not allowed to make any waiver wire claims...

And if that's the case, Flypaste, you would have until next Wednesday sometime to pick your waivers.

Honestly, I'm not sure. If that is the case and Wednesday is the day that claims actually execute than there is no issue

FYI, guys, I'm getting caught up on the waiver issue right now. Should be up and running late Monday morning. Basically, same as last year:
1. You may begin entering waiver claims beginning with kickoff of the first game of the week. Waiver claims are put into a queue, then are automatically processed at 7pm EST every Wednesday.
2. Initial waiver order for each week of the preseason will be set in the same order that we picked our draft spots (which is DIFFERENT from our actual draft order itself). This is basically in reverse order of how we all finished the regular season last year.
3. After week 1 of the regular season, the waiver order will be reset every week giving preference to teams with: (1) the worst W/L record; and if there is a tie (2) to the team with the fewest points scored to date; and if there is still a tie (3) reverse order of opponents' total points scored.
4. Beginning at 7:15pm every Wednesday - and continuing up until kickoff of the first game of the week - there are "free for all" waiver pick ups with no waiting period or waiver order.

What that means right now is that you may begin putting waiver picks in your queue. Waivers will begin to be processed THIS Wednesday evening, August 29th at 7pm EST. You can then go wild at 15 minutes later with first come, first served waiver up until the beginning of the first Week 4 preseason game. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I noticed a small waiver priority error and corrected it. Flypaste was supposed to have the #2 spot, but I put him in the #3 spot by accident earlier this morning. Since waivers haven't gone through yet, there was no harm. Let me know if you see anything else that looks out of place.

When I got to Reports/Franchise/Transactions, it still lists one of the waiver requests that I put in and then erased. Hopefully it doesn't try to process that request, because the one listed after it is the #2 priority request that I want.

Yes, but are you logged in under Commish mode? If so, you see everything, even the transactions that have been erased. If you are only logged in as an owner - and things still don't look right - let me know and I'll take a look.

I'm logged in under my team name (and I don't see the other team's waiver requests).

I want the Barlow request nixed (he was cut yesterday).

I think your subsequent requests would have preempted it, but I killed the Barlow request just in case.
