The Bling Bling free agency schedule for 2007 will be as follows (Note: all times are Eastern):

Starting at 1am each Tuesday, The Blind Bid FA period begins.
Blind Bid FA ends at 3pm each Wednesday.

Starting at 3:30pm each Wednesday, first come, first served (FCFS) FA begins.
FCFS FA ends at kickiff of the first game of the week.


All teams start with 1000 bid points for FA for the season.

Blind bidding will be done through MFL this year. Please familiarize yourselves with MFL's blind bidding functionality. The MFL help on waivers can be found at: MFL Waivers Help

Each FCFS transaction costs 20 points. Teams are limited to 15 FCFS transactions for the season.

I have a couple of suggestions based on things I have seen in the past...

1) The blind bids probably shouldn't open until after the previous week's games are concluded.
2) Doesn't the NFL injury report come oput on Wednesday? Maybe letting the blind bids run until a little later in the day on Wednesday than 9 (I am assuming EDT) would give folks enough time to check that. If there is FCFS at 1 PM, then maybe let the bids run at noon?

Other than that,

I didn't think the start would be an issue, since the bids can be edited up until they are processed. I was concerned that the window to submit blind bids would be too short if I started after the Monday game.

I don't have a problem moving the Blind bidding end to noon. Because of the shorter window, I will probably set the bidding to auto-process, instead of doing it manually.

In consideration for us west coasters, can we get the blind biding to close at 3PM EST Wednesday?

Do west-coasters not wake up before noon eastern?

Sometimes.

Some west coasters have to take care of their kids and can't get to the computer before 11 AM.

Ok. I modified the schedule to start BB FA after the Monday night game, and to accomodate those west coasters who can't make their wives take care of their kids in the morning (I have four daughters, ranging from 6 mo. to 7 years).
