As in all my other leagues my rankings are based not only on my projections but with the use of several other tools as well. I looked at each team and used the best lineup they could field overall based on those projections and tools. The numbers are the total points the best starting lineup will score over 16 weeks and then the average per week. This system, as crazy as it may seem, has been pretty damn accurate over the years as after each draft I'm in, I use it. For just one example, I did my rankings for my local last year and 3 out of the 4 top teams I ranked made the playoffs and the team I had ranked 2nd won the Championship. Here they are...

#1 Bronco Billy- 2,028 = 126.75
#2 Isleseeya- 1,951.8 = 121.99
#3 Irish- 1,935.2 = 120.95
#4 PSULions- 1,932.2 = 120.76
#5 Timmypg/DKs- 1,921.7 = 120.11
#6 Abish- 1,879.5 = 117.47
#7 Bartender- 1,860.5 = 116.28
#8 Broncos05- 1,841.3 = 115.08
#9 Cunning Lin- 1,840.4 = 115.03
#10 PD- 1,837.8 = 114.86
#11 Doc Holliday- 1,818.4 = 113.65
#12 Stoperat- 1,779.4 = 111.21

So there they are, sorry for not doing an elaborate write up as I did in the other leagues, as I just don't have the time with it being Labor Day Weekend, setting up my own website, plus doing several drafts at once. However this gives you the basic jist of how things unfolded. Remember it's just one man's opinion and I know nothing more than any of you (well maybe that's not entirely true) wink.gif , however, take it with a grain of salt and just enjoy the season. The games/records at the end will speak for themselves.

Enjoy the rest of the Weekend!! smile.gif

That's due in part to getting SJax, Harrison and Gates. The rest of his team is either just a bunch of steady performers (McAllister, Barber, Hasselbeck, etc) or high upside guys (Clayton, Edwards, etc.). Honestly he is the priced PONY at this point, however, his team is very beatable. No team stands out in my eyes and that's a testament to how well we all drafted. I really like Isleseeya's team alot and without looking at the numbers I would've said that he possibly had the best team. Timmypg and PSU fall into that same category. Great Job guys, this should be a terrific league!!

Don't believe everything you read in the paper moon.gif

It's an interesting grid, don't get me wrong. But there are way too many variables in something like that to predict outcomes 16 weeks prior: 3rd yr receivers, RB's that are now starters (not rookies), QB's/RBs on new teams, new OL's, coaches, Offense etc. Not to mention injuries and the WW.

What i see when i look at our league is a bunch of saavy owners who've been around and have a few tricks up their (our) sleeves. We prolly all had a pick we slapped our forehead about now (olsen for me), but all in all, i think it will be pretty competitive.

At least that's my theory and im sticking to it ninja.gif

Exactly!! but doing the numbers based on preseason info always makes for interesting conversation and certainly it's fun to look back on to see how it all truly panned out. Personally I love doing this because even though some things may end up fitting my projections, many times all those variables change things and it's intriguing to discover what the root of those changes were. That's what makes this game so much fun, as soon as you think you've got a handle on things you get thrown a curveball and your team goes into a tailspin.

Just thought it's the off-season and I'd spice things up a bit. Did anyone take notice to the preseason projections? That's right I pegged the top 3 for the playoffs and was 1 off on the 4th team. I also picked Bronco Billy to win it all and that happened as well. sneaky.gif Alright so there were some things that were off but not too shabby overall.

Not bad but during the regular season we were #1 not #5. wink.gif

It's not where you finished the regular season that counts, it's where you finished after all was said and done and the Playoffs were over. And that my friend was in 4th place. Hey look at the bright side, you did take home $50 as you had the highest point total and you still would've even if I hadn't added 70+ points to your total for the week you forgot to update your lineup. Now that's ... Regular ... Season ... (excuse me I was choking) Talent right there. wink.gif
