Full Version: hmmm, line-up question
I wanted to change my QB from Garrard to Roethlisberger, since I just found out Bailey is out. It's before kick-off, and neither of my QB's games have started. Is this not allowed?
If it is something I can do, I officially want to make the change. Bench Garrard, play Big Ben.
Should be something you can do in MFL still, no?

The official starting time of the night game was 8:15 EST.
It appears that your first post is at 8:20.
I didn't watch the game till the end and can't recall what time Sunday night games actually start, but that's what MFL as well as NFL.com says.

NBC has the official starting time at 8:15 EDT. But their games don't actually start until around 8:30. (in order to mislead the audience about the real starting time so they can throw in more pregame stuff)

If you look at the Game Book for last night's game, it says the official start was 6:23 MDT.
So, given that Captain tried to make the swap, spent a bit of time going "W-T-F?" before posting it here...

Yeah, I tried to make the change around 8:15. But that is the "official" game time. I just figured I had until kick-off.
Hmm something is wrong. I tried to submit next weeks lineup with 2 WR and 1 TE and it won't accept it . . .

I'm starting to think it is just you.
Gunther wasn't playing me and since the game started after the time of the post, taking into account the time spent prior to posting the thread I have no problem with the change. Even though he won anyway.
When I try to submit my line-up, I get an error message: "You cannot submit more than one WR+TE". I entered Moss, Welker, and Donald Lee.

I'm glad it didn't matter this time, but unless the majority thinks otherwise, I'm inclined to go with what the website says is the cutoff time.
I'm just worried that somebody will want a change of lineup at 12:59 EST and the site won't allow it and we have to decide if kickoff occurred or not.

Agreed. I was not trying to get you guys to change my starter. Just was confused on the rule. If starters have to be in 5 minutes before the posted game time rather than the actual time of the kick-off, that is fine. So I'm guessing, I could have changed my starter up until 8:10 pm Sunday night, right?

I've played around with it as much as I can.
There's no way I can get it to not allow more then one TE.

I know that you weren't trying to be difficult, I'm just overthinking this thing. It SHOULD be up until kickoff (They should have somebody watching each game and turining off the starters at that time), but since it isn't we're going to have to go with what they say - whatever that is.
