I'd like to request a change in divisions. I realize this is a little late in the season to be asking for this, but I would like to transfer to your division, Bear sneaky.gif

F'n Shanahan...if he doesn't call that time-out last night Bironas misses that 56 yd FG, and you would have lost...I hate that man mad.gif

And why in the hell would you want to get in our division? Being a Cro-Mag just guarantees your team will spiral downhill faster than a leaded squirrel in cooking oil...

Lead shot is a good way to kill them...of course you should remove all the lead before you cook them.

Well, I have donked away my shot at the playoffs it appears. Why I couldn't leave my lineup alone, I have no idea, but changing defenses at the last minute was about the dumbest plan I have ever come up with g-bash.gif I just logged in to see if Reggie was playing and had an epiphany (however you spell that) and decided Baltimore was more likely to shut down San Diego than Minnesota.

Good luck to everyone.

Genius........ P.U.R.E Genius

I did the same thing....... only I took out F.Gore to insert C.Taylor. Not such a bad move on paper...... but whoa...... 200yds and 2 Tds is much greater than 30 yds and 1 Td. Way to go coach.gif

Trust me, I have asked myself at least 20 times why I would even consider that move. I made no lineup changes at all, just my fricking defense. Genius is definitely the word.

Would have given some meaning to our game this week, but I am sure my team will roll over and play dead nicely for you anyway. Congrats on one hell of a season. One of the best drafts I have seen since being in this league and you have grabbed some nice FA's.

Not sure about the drafting part..... I looked over my draft and aside from the top 6, it's virtual plethora of poo until I stole Jennings. The FA's have definitely kept me afloat. If not for Watson at the right time, and then some how I picked up Grant (and he's turned out to be a stud IMO), along with the addition of K.Smith (Holy Moly are you kidding me?), I was able to put together a rag tag group who gelled together like the Colonials vs the Cylons.

The weird part is that if I was actually around to take my 3rd round pick I probably wouldn't have taken Gates. I'm not sure whom I would have selected. I can't remember back that far. Even so that was the pick that made my team what it is. I probably would've picked some RB who would've gotten hurt. Let's face it, they all got hurt. Then I would've been looking for other selections in later rounds like a J.Witten type player. Instead, I was picking up R.Moss and Ward (who got hurt) and left picking up my 2nd RB in the 6th rd and he's actually been sorta serviceable. I made a determination early on that QB's, not RB's, make or break your season. So picked Brady in the 2nd rd and that's turned out to be HUGE. I knew the Patties RB's sucked, and the additions of Moss, Welker and Stallworth have turned out to be GINORMOUS. Brady is having a monster season. Leading the league in points. Not only just leading, but over 100 pts better than the 2nd place guy,(Romo - who is also having a monster year!).

The other strange thing is, even though L.T. is having a terrible season, he's still #13 in scoring. If he was having an average year, things may be a little bit different. I hope I don't have to play him in the playoffs. :X:

Well, I had to make a decision to pick for you since you were MIA. Gates was the top player on my board at the time so I gave him to you in that spot. You thanked me by giving me McNair later in FAFL when I couldn't pick...just don't seem right for some reason think.gif

Well, I had targeted drafting McNabb and then Romo in the middle rounds and figured I would be able to compete well at QB. McNabb was snagged so I took Romo a round earlier than I planned I think. I obviously thought Reggie Bush and Rudi would be a solid 1-2 punch at RB and was clearly mistaken. Then I started having doubts about them, so I drafted two more RB's in rounds 3/4 to be safe, lol. You kept snagging WR's in front of me. I remember being pissed when you took Ward and really pissed that I let Jennings go that long. I knew better. I took Witten early, because I figured I had already missed the boat at WR and might as well be strong at that position. Worked out fine. Just my RB's have performed terribly other than Lynch. Cadillac was doing fine and probably would have produced nicely in a full season. Romo was a steal and my WR's are very blah. Less than blah.

Fun to look back at anyway. Good luck.
ABearWithFurniture
You guys are putting way too much thinking into your drafting strategies...I've found a much easier solution and it's much, much less stressful...I just go down the alphabet, Addai in the first round, Benson in the 2nd round, Carson in the 3rd round, etc... biggrin.gif

Who needs all that tension... think.gif
Bier Meister
congrats to those who have clinched.... good luck to those still working on it.

Wow, I love missing the playoffs by ONE game. That is my favorite, EVER. Especially when my team is tied for 2nd best record in the league and 2nd in scoring to only Mr. One Loss, Tom. Something is wrong here think.gif Ok, done crying. Back to your regularly scheduled programs.

Actually, Rick's team was the 2nd highest in scoring and then with that scoring fest your team put on in the last game of the season you edged out Nick's and my team....barely wink.gif

I feel the most sorry for Rick...not only did he not make the playoffs, his Ravens are going down in flames... sad.gif

Much like the Ravens, I fear that a coaching change may be required for MOHD next year. My complete lack of QB play completely undermined a talented squad. To the coach and GM of the mighty MOHD I say moon.gif
Football Jones
It doesn't really feel like I earned this one. I've missed the playoffs in this league when I've had one of the top-scoring teams so maybe this is retribution. wink.gif Anyway, we all know FF can be very cruel when it comes to the best teams making the playoffs. I'm definitely not one of the top 4 teams on paper. On the bright side, I've had numerous injury problems, but I've finally got most everyone healthy now. Kinda doubt it will help me this week, tho. I'm afraid Freddy Flinstone is going to get his a$$ kicked again by the mighty Monsters (again). Good luck, everybody.

YABA DABA DOO!!!

I'm thinking that's why they call it the 'wild card' think.gif

And if next year you guys want to go to highest total points for the 2nd tie-breaker on the wild card race rather than H2H I'm okay with that...I can see the merit in either scenario...

JMO, but I think the tie-breakers are fine.

And if there were a change to be aimed at getting the best team in, I think the best measure of that is All-play record.
SupaMann
I'm not sure if we need changes for the tie-breaker or not. I think it is fair now. Could it be better? Maybe. I'm just a sore loser and kicking myself for ONE decision that kept me from at least having the chance to win it all. Sucks also that my team has decided NOW to step it up and play like there is a meaning.
Football Jones
I've always believed total points should be the first tiebreaker (instead of H2H). Since you can't control the scoring of your opponent (like you can in the real world), total points makes the most sense, IMO.

My 2 pennies.

I agree with that logic but disagree that it makes the most sense, as it's opposed to watching a team that you beat 1-2 times advance to the playoffs while you don't...

I don't really see one being better than the other but in the NFL H2H is the first tie-breaker after W/L and is the reason I set it to that...
Bier Meister
in favor on h-t-h over pts in this league, with our format for tiebreaker

Agreed. Total points is over-rated as a quality indicator in my opinion.
