Nsab you have two TE's. You can't start two TE's.

This is simply a rule we must change next year. Since we can't enforce it on MFL, and we can't seem to keep it from happening, we are gonna have to change the rule. I don't know what we should do this week. All of Nsab's guys have already played.

I had to make a last-minute change to make mine legal.

I've purposely not looked at your bench to be more objective.
I see a few choices.

Drop your highest scoring TE and put in your worst scoring WR.
Look at Dorey's projections and put in what he said would be the higher scoring TE and your highest scoring bench WR.

Thoughts from anybody else. We obviously have to decide this before the game tonite as it may affect the results.

Well, an illegal lineup is an illegal lineup. It should be in the rules for future use to say if an illegal lineup is submitted, team either forfits that week, or drops the higher scoring of the 2 (in this particular situation).

Id go with simply dropping the higher scoring TE and leave it at that. Team gets 0 for that position for the week.

HOWEVER, is this a rule that is clearly defined? If not, I think it needs to be left as is if there is nothing concrete. I knew this was a rule only because someone caught it before the game and there was a post about it.

The next question Id ask is, why isnt it set in MFL to allow only one TE? Can it not be done?

We have tried unsuccessfully several times to set up a way to prevent this. The problem is, the rules clearly state, you can start 2 WR, and then a flex position of a WR/TE.

A couple years ago, when this happened, it was me who was starting an illegal line-up. Since MFL was allowing it, we agreed to let it slide that week (I lost anyways), and then we had to police ourselves about doing it. Apparently MFL cannot be set up for such a requirement.

This year, I noticed a lot of teams were doing it one week. I made a post about it. We tried yet again to modify MFL. It was unsuccessful. Again we agreed that this would be something we would have to police ourselves this year, and make a change in the off-season.

I think NSab should have to drop his highest score TE and take a 0 for the other position. But I would agree with him receiving his lowest WR if that's what the majority feels is fair.

Next year we should change the rule. All three WR positions should be WR/TE flexible, IMO.

He probably would've started the higher projected bench receiver and higher projected te from Dorey's rankings.

Just saying that it really doesn't matter as much now. You don't agree? If the illegal line-up resulted in your win, or if substituting in another WR resulted in your win, you don't think it would be a bigger deal?

MFL, with it's amazing customer service has fixed our problem.
From here on, it should not allow us to start 2 TEs.
I don't have 2 TEs on my roster, could somebody who does try and start 2 and confirm that it won't let you.

Hey man, it's not like this rule is new or anything. It's been mentioned several times, even this year. So don't act like I'm being a jerk. It's been brought to my attention that I was starting an illegal line-up in the past. I didn't cry and then quit.

I didn't cry and quit, you just sound like a whiner to me. No biggie that's how I see it. I am trimming down in most leagues. And I don't pay enough attention to this one. So it will be cut.

I'd still like to review having every WR spot be a WR/TE flex next season, or even WR, WR/TE, WR/TE..

If it was a big enough deal to post about, then it shouldn't matter if you won or lost.

That's why i posted about it before the game was decided. The fact that I won made it less of a headache for the commish and the league. That way we don't have to worry so much about a "punishment" for an owner who can't follow the rules. It only effects total points, not a win/loss situation.

It's funny to me that you are all pissed at me. You broke the rules. You slowed the draft down to a crawl. I gotta be honest, you were a great owner the first couple years, but this year you have been absent. Don't come in here and come down on me for taking this league seriously. You don't.

It was a friggen mistake, and if MFL was set up correctly it would have forbid me to do it. I am in 5 other leagues that use MFL and all others only let you start the positions that are allowed by league rules. So i didn't even notice. And don't tell me about slowing up the draft peaches by the bucket. The fact that I have been busy is why I am thinking about cutting back. The way i look at it as long as you won, you didn't give a peaches by the bucket. If I wasn't playing you , probably we may have not even noticed. I will come here and say what I want.

And so will I. You think this is all about you? I made a post about it earlier this year when 3 teams had submitted illegal line-ups. So it's not just about you. If I didn't care, I wouldn't have made a post about it then. Yeah, you made a mistake. Own up to it instead of trying to blame it on me.

I don't think that will be a difficult vote to pass.
