Relax. I'm on it. We have to configure the playoff braketts every year, and I couldn't do that until Monday nights game was final. Just didn't have time to do it last night.

Oddly, no one has ever proposed that as a rule change. The only playoff-related change I can recall is moving the SB from Week 17 to Week 16.

Good question. The math doesn't work very well with 8 teams going to the playoffs, unless the #1 spot gets two byes in a row, and the #2 spot gets only one bye. Or something equally strange.

I'm not complaining or anything, please don't take it that way. I just made an assumption that the #1 and #2 teams had a bye the first week of the playoffs. No big deal, I'm just praying Brees can get me a win. I need a huge game from him!!!

You got your HUGH game, but it wasn't good enough. This is payback for beating me by a measly 1.4 points back in week 9 (although for some reason you didn't submit a full lineup, which pissed me off even more). You've been extremely lucky this year, your #9 in points against, and barely even that. Sometimes that luck catches up with you.

payouts could stand to change quite a bit

How long has the League been in existence?

I think we just completed our 4th full year. Memory is getting fuzzy.

PPR and mandatory TE have been pitched and voted down in the past. Payouts have been tinkered with here and there, but can always be revisited.

byes/8 team playoff format hasn't been raised before, IIRC.

PPR is an interesting concept. I would probably be more inclined to vote for it if it favored the WR/TE position rather than the RB. (.25 for RB, .50 for WR, 1.0 for TE...)something to that effect.

Mandatory TE is no big deal. Though, it should not affect roster size. Would we then go to 2WR/1TE as a starting requirement?

Payouts: Someone is going to have to refresh my memory. I'm not sure what they are.


**I wouldn't be opposed to going to a total point system and doing away with head to head match-ups and the playoffs altogether. Teams would accumulate wins and losses based on their total points scored week to week.

Prize payouts are as such:

Prize Payout - The winner of the Week 17 Superbowl will be credited $50 towards next year’s dues
50% of the remaining funds go to the winner of the league’s super bowl;
30% of the remaining funds go to the over-all points leader at the end of the league’s regular season; and
20% of the remaining funds go to the loser of the super bowl.


Fly, Isn't this a points league now? I'd be more for changing that too, so add that to my list as well. I only suggest these things to make the league better IMO. I think everyone should be obligated to go over all the rules and make suggestions on what they think will make the league unique and better.
