How do you determine who finishes 3rd and 4th? I can figure out that its the two losers of the "semifinals", but what criteria is used to place a team 3rd and 4th?

Is it record? Regular season total points? Total points including playoffs?

Suppose two 7-6 teams lose in the semifinals.....if total points come into play as a tiebreaker, is it total points thru Week 13, or Week 15?

It is their seeding in the playoffs. The higher seed would be 3rd and the lower would be 4th. That is how the presedence was set last year, so that is how it is going to be this year.

We play a consolation game week 16 as well as the league champioship...the brackets are set up this way.

I think the bracket was screwed up last year. I was just looking at it and there wasn't a 2nd game that I could tell. Either way, the correct teams finished 3rd and 4th.

So what is the verdict on this one? As the 5th seed and still breathing I would be in favor of the 3rd/4th place consolation game (if I were to lose week 15).

based on Brad's post, there will be a 3rd/4th place consolation game. He will have to make sure it is scheduled properly though as I don't have commish password.

If you look at last year's brackets, there was indeed a consolation game. Toggle down the screen a bit, and you'll set it. This year should mirror last year, since there was no rule-change, IMO.

Just so the playoff teams know league-precedent, there will be a week 16 consolation game to determine who finishes 3rd/4th.
