Fellas, traditionally, we have started playoffs week 14. This worked great with our 2 division set up.

When we switched to the 3 divisions, I set up the schedule such that You played each team in your division twice and every other team once.. well, that equates to 14 weeks, but the rules were not changed to reflect this, plus, a 14 week schedule has the undesired affect of putting the championship game in week 17.

Now, the intent was to keep the league as a 13-week regular season with the 3 weeks of playoffs culminating in week 16. My oversight in setting up the site established a 14-week regular season schedule.

Darin is travelling so I have not been able to consult with him, and as I am barely in the playoffs if we went to them this week, but certainly able to be knocked out if we played on to week 14 as the site is set up, I feel that this sets up a conflict of interest for me to make any sort of decision. The intent was indeed to have playoffs start this week, however, not everyone has played a complete division schedule.

Please chime in with input. I feel we are in the situation where no matter what way the decision goes, an owner or owners will feel wronged.

I'm not sure how anyone would feel wronged because i'd bet that everyone expected the playoffs to start this week. Well everyone but you. I really wouldn't want to play the SB in week 17 but if that's what is decided i'll be there. I think the playoffs should start this week just like they did last year.
Oh and by the way i did say i'll be there week 17, as in winning the SB

Actually I did expect them to start this week. A complete oversight on my part when adjusting the schedule to accomodate the new division structure. It wasn't until the mention in the other thread that I realized the error in setup, and as noted in my original post, I was not comfortable making a decision as if teams were playing under the 14 week regular season schedule assumption, some teams are still alive for the playoff hunt.

I will set up the playoff brackets though as the only input thus far has been to go with the intent of having a 13-week regular season.

Whatever you guys come up with is fine with me. As I'm also hanging by a thread, I'd rather leave it up to the consensus. I don't think anyone would argue against setting it up as we figured it would be (13 week season, week 16 super bowl). I think that's fair.
