Pope Flick wants to drop Benson (IR) and pick up Dilfer. Thursday games have already occurred.

See this rule:

9.2.3 For weeks that have Thursday games those players on those teams are off limits once the game begins until the wire opens again the following Tuesday.

I am ruling that waivers can be made from Thus game till kickoff of Sunday game provided that the player has not yet played (started his game).

I will clarify this rule for next year to make it clear waivers does not close til 1 eastern on Sunday.

If someone else wants to make a waiver post it and I will handle assuming you have a free move ...

Would you also make him a starter for me when you make this change? I would like to start Braylon Edwards and Gage as my two WRs...

Hey Beaumont...Leonard Pope (TE) is on IR and I'd like to use a non-waiver move to get Royal (BUF) and drop Pope. Would ya do that for me?
montster
both my TEs are inactive today. currently, LJ Smith is my starter (Philly plays in the late game). i'd like to drop smith and add ben utecht, IND, as my starter.

But Waivers closed at 12pm central/1pm eastern?

The initial post here just clarified that a Thursday game did not pre-empt waivers until 12:00 noon central ...

Am I missing something?

ETA: If I am, I can always retroactively make the transaction. Lets just make sure I am making the right decision ...

i'm pretty sure this will be moot because i got killed today (after a 14-1 season g-bash.gif), but this was from your original post in this thread:

basically, regarding the bolded, i was unclear whether that meant the early or late sunday games. the "provided that the player has not yet played" part makes me think you mean either game, but the second sentence implies otherwise. so yeah, i don't really know what the rule is. laughing.gif of course, this will only come into play if chester taylor throws four touchdowns to himself.

It should have been clearer, but its till the kickoff of Sunday games, as made clear in the second sentence and I think in the rule itself ... we have never allowed waiver pickups past 12:00 noon central ...

I am glad it will in all probability be moot because I am denying the request ...

"From that point on until kickoff of the first game, additional "non-priority" waiver wire acquisitions may be made on a first come, first serve basis ... any attempts to make waiver wire transactions after the first kickoff will be void and considered only at the next Tues "priority" deadline ..."

Changed only by:

"9.2.3 For weeks that have Thursday games those players on those teams are off limits once the game begins until the wire opens again the following Tuesday."

Which is why I made the clarification that even if you have a Thus game, waivers is open until first kickoff on Sunday (to pick up players who have not played that week) ...

The same happened to me in Huddle Ladder after a 1 loss season. I didn't have Brady but other cold weather games killed me. It's a tough was to lose. Of all my leagues I thought this was the weakest one.
