I'll be back. Really quite an enjoyable league. You've done an outstanding job setting this up, Irish. Good mix of listening to owners and sticking to the format you wanted when creating the league - I think you've got an almost complete buy-in from owners unless I miss my mark badly.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I also really enjoyed this league and look forward to playing in it with you all next year. Broncos05 is the only one to this point that has removed himself from the league and I/we are waiting to hear back from PantherDave and BartenderWJT to see if they'll be returning next year.

We also have a waiting list of guys listed above, which really isn't a waiting list as they're in no particular order. I/we have to choose at least 1 of those guys to take Broncos place and will then see about the other two fellas. I had a specific way of which I was going to choose one of the guys and some of your responses have only solidified how I will go about picking one of the candidates to replace Broncos. Thanks to those members who have given me some feedback.

Let me just say that you are definitely one of the guys I am truly considering as you have been the most active in terms of wanting to be part. That goes a long way as I know you'll be an active owner in the league and I won't have to worry about you pulling a Houdini act. My original intention was to go with the member on the list who has been here the longest. However, the one most important thing to me is that all owners remain active and involved. You would seem to fit the bill nicely LBH.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that BB was really desperate for a reach around on the 3rd of January of this year. However, he hasn't asked for one since then, so I'm thinking he either got lucky that night with the wifee or LBH was put through initiation soon after.

Just as a heads up, I believe both PD and BartenderWJT said they would be returning this year. So we should be good and if something comes up and they're not, I'll ask one of the fellas looking to get in.

PantherDave may be need to be replaced. I know he has had some PC issues and hasn't been online for months, due to ID theft issues. I left him a VM on his cell a week ago and haven't heard back from him. I am not saying we should fill his spot now, but just to make sure the league knows that he may still be MIA for a few more months and we should set a particular date for him to confirm that he is in for this year, or his will be replaced after the agreed upon date so we can lineup a new owner and give them plenty of notice.

My best guess would be around 7/15/08 so we can pin down the members and set the official date for the draft.

I hope all is well with PD but have thought about the possibility that he might not be returning to the JLA. The date above, 7/15/08, is a great date to use for responses of all returning owners. There's about a handful of guys who have already expressed interest in being a part of this league and if PD turns down his spot, I'm sure one of those guys will be happy to step in. Time will tell.
