THE FIRST ANNUAL FAULTLINE DRAFT

Gentlemen,
Welcome to the first annual FAULTLINE (“League”) draft, hosted by co-commissioner Darin Tietgen. This is the kickoff of what should be an extremely fun and competitive fantasy football league.
At present, the League is comprised of 12 owners. It is the intention of the co-commissioners that the League be expanded to 14 or perhaps even 16 teams next season. The ultimate size (14 or 16) of the League will be brought to a vote at the end of this, our first season.
The League is comprised of two conferences (Northern and Southern California), of which there are two divisions in each (Orange/Apples – SoCal and Walnuts/Almonds – NoCal …. Yes, fruits and nuts.).

Commencing at 12 noon on Saturday, August 27, 2005, is our inaugural draft. We will be drafting 16 total players, comprised of a starting lineup requirement of:
1 QB, 1-2 RBs, 3-4 WRs, 1-2 TEs, 1 PK and 1 DEF/ST.
League fees are due to Andy Carey, the co-commish/league treasurer. The fee is $50. Payout information is as follows:
SB Champ: $225
SB Runner-up: $125
Division Champs: $50 each
Toilet Bowl Champ: $50
Please see the league forum for details on the playoff structure and other miscellaneous league information. Throughout the course of the season, please contact Darin (xxx@xxx.net) or Andy (xxx@xxx.net) for questions/concerns. The present co-commishes would appreciate two other Faultliners to take on the commish responsibilities next season. Special thanks go out to Alan (slambo) for preparing the “Smack Talk Award”. Just another thing that will make this league fun and unique. Thanks Alan – we’ll buy you a few beers!
Attached to this welcome letter is a copy of the league scoring for your reference, and a spreadsheet with which to fill out your drafted players.
