I know this is extremely early, however, I just happened to be looking over the calendar and was very impressed how everything carried over very nicely from last year. After thinking that initial thought, my next 2 thoughts were maybe if I don't screw up making any moves this year, while signed in as Commish, I won't have to adjust the calendar to make any corrections. The next thing I noticed was that the start date of our draft also carried over and while it would be a piece of cake to change, I thought that it wouldn't be a bad idea to get your opinions on the current date. The draft is set to begin Monday, August 25, @ 6:00 am. If you've been having a really restful offseason and aren't aware, the 1st NFL game is on Thurs, Sept. 4th, giving us about 10/11 days to complete the draft. I thought that, that date would be okay but figured some may even want to move it back a bit more just to be safe the draft was completed in time. Then based on what we do with the draft date, I can move around or leave it the way it is, the first blind bidding period and FCFS add/drops. Currently, the first blind bidding period begins on Aug. 31st @1pm and ends on Wed. night, Sept. 3rd @ 9pm and then FCFS begins immediately afterward (which really would only give us 6-61/2 days to complete the draft).
