If you guys don't already know, Rich passed away today. He had been in very bad shape for the last two weeks and his family was faced with making a decision today. Around noon today they took him of the ventilator and he passed less than five minutes later. He went very quietly and did not seem to be in any pain.

I wish I was better with words at a time like this but I am not. I am going to miss my Huddle buddy but I am sure he is in a better place now than he has been for the last three months.

Rich, its gonna be a long season without you. You would think that after centuries of people entering and leaving this earth it would become less painful to say goodby but in never ceases to be. My dad lived to 88 and I know the hardest thing about reaching such an age was having to say goodbye to so many of his friends. Thank you Skip for making the journey to visit Rich and his family, its a tough job and one I never have been good at. Rich I hope to see you on the other side and save me a seat in front of the big screen when football season rolls around. You will be missed but not forgotten brother.

Well said bOb. I just got into the office and got the news. Audrey will be in my familys thoughts during this difficult time.
