Appears that the "Spring" meeting was totally ignored and now it is June already. LOL

drbob was wondering the same thing you bring up. He was thinking maybe a golf outing of some sort to get people back into the swing of ECB things and he could get his draft pick strategy started.

I brought it up before and will be willing again to get something going. Golf outing = GOOD, Golf outing with poker and meeting to determine the draft order = OUTSTANDING. thoughts?

My golf game sucks, but I'm more than willing to hack and slash for the day. I'll have to rent clubs.
Determining the draft order would be good too. As for the poker, I'll see what I can do.

I sent out a few 'feelers' for a meeting. I got zero responses, and it fell off my radar.

I can go anytime, I have clubs, but suck at golf, but I do enjoy it.

I suck at poker too, so maybe I'll just watch.

I'll send out a league email from MFL and try to get this rolling soon.

14th of June is definitely out. June 21st would probably work. 28th doesn't work for Dan. I would expect 4th of July weekend is a no-go, but I can make it fly. 12 or 19th of July should be okay. I wouldn't want it to be later than that.

Man would I LOVE to get together for a round of golf but saturday's are F'd for me ..... pretty much 'till the middle july (either the 19th or the 26th). I'm either on a ball diamond or outta town. Of course you don't need everyone for the draft party so that's fine I guess.

looking ahead the draft..... have we set a date in stone yet ? As it looks right now the weekend of august 8-9-10 I have the house to myself. elaine & the girls are taking the train down to their great grandma's house for the weekend. It would be a perfect time to trash my house but i'm think'in it may be abit too early. At any rate.... my house is open anytime for the draft if we choose to come here again.

Hello all....going through my summer schedule....June 28th/29th or July 5th/6th or July26th/27th are the best weekends over the course of the next two months for me.

I am also not a golfer, unless there is some wacky method of scoring that keeps me involved in the game well past the first hole.

One does not go golfing to golf. One goes golfing for the beer.

ETA: Or the soda in your case.

I would really like to attend an outing. That being said, Saturdays do not work well for me. The only upcoming Sunday I am not available at this point is July 20th. Golf sounds fun, I enjoy playing and am not too horribly bad at it, but haven't been golfing since last summer. I'm down for poker anytime.

Does anybody know anybody who wants in? If so I would like to give my spot to them. The anticipation of playing hasn't hit, and the enjoyment has been waning the last couple of years, so I think it is about time to move on to other things.

I'm fairly swamped this summer with kid stuff, so unfortunately I will probably have to miss my first "spring meeting". Also, I will be out of town on vacation 8/3-8/9, but I can make an 8/10 draft.

Looks like my interest isn't the only one that has faded.

IIRC the predraft meeting usually only has about 5-7 guys at it anyway. So really this is nothing new.

Lets set the draft date. August 10th. Seems to be a good weekend and no one has seemed to say nay to it.

The offeseason meeting will be held on July 27th. Time and place TBD.

It's just outside of the window Dr. Bob wanted, but still leaves two weeks for draft prep, and to adjust to any rule changes that may come down.

I can make it work. I will have to get rid of 4 Mariners tickets for the draft if the family doesn't want to go without me.

I haven't looked really. If we can find a replacement great. If not I will play one more year.

I know Sky had a list of guys who had expressed interest in joining this locally. I'm not sure if we exhausted it with the two guys we added last year. I'll shoot him a PM, but I don't know of anyone myself.

The rule is very specific.... Emerald City is for Seattle area Huddlers.

This was brought up by you last year when I threw his name in the hat. He has been a registered member of the Huddle since then. I can't speak to his involvement or lacktherof, but I don't think the rules state a minimum for that

I would like to throw my vote 100% behind this option. In fact, I feel so strongly about this, I'd like to throw two votes to this. I realize I'm a new guy here, but I can't think of something that would be better for the league.

I'm always up for fantasy football with people who have threatened me with bodily harm.

Golf seems to be the popular choice, but I know nothing about any couse outside of the Puyallup/Tacoma area.

The draft order will be picked for sure, any rule changes will be discussed, and general smack talk will be spoken.

How does everyone feel about a little poker?

Sure would be nice to hear from Jim as to a place and cost. I know the nicer courses can run $75 + with a cart, that may sway the decision of myself or maybe some others.
