T-minus 12 hours for departure to the airport. I think most of you know but for those that don't, I go on a yearly family vacation (about 20 of us) to Disney for 2 weeks. I should be able to check in but will be back for sure Sat. July 12th.

Thanks on both counts. Every year when I get back from vaca, things seem to fly really quickly and before you know it, it'll be draft time, preseason games and then regular season kick-off.

Have fun.

How was your trip?

My trip was fantastic!! Being that this vacation is a bit of a routine, it truly is a very relaxing, restful vacation, versus a run, run, run, agenda-filled trip in which you actually need to take a vacation from once you're done type.

Everyday felt like groundhog day with the exception of where we went to dinner and the day we took the kids to The Magic Kingdom (which by the way ran me almost $300 for the four of us to go!!! shocking.gif ).

Woke up every morning anywhere between 9 and 10. Ate, slapped on the swim trunks and headed down to the pool until about 2. I would then go fishing (quiet lake on the hotel property) from about 2-2:30 to no later than 5. I caught bass every day (13 bass on my last day there) and 1 pretty solid catfish (3 footer maybe 15 lbs or so). I have some good pictures of fish I caught. After fishing I would return to the room, shower (sometimes chill for a bit if we had a late dinner reservation) and then head out to dinner (which was fabulous almost every night). We'd return to the hotel between 9 and 10 and usually just relax with the occasional trip down for a late night swim. The flight down was a piece of cake, however, the one back was a rough go for about the last 50 minutes with tons of turbulence, topped off with a brutally bumping landing. My son, along with almost everyone else on board, was on the verge of hurling. Vomit bags were out in style everywhere you looked. Hell the pilot actually got on a stated (verbatim),"Ah folks, we'll be going through a pretty rough patch up ahead so please take your seats, fasten your seatbelts and hold onto small children." I was like, we're in for a fun ride. blink.gif

The day we went to Disney was a bit hectic but things worked out perfectly (sort of like how many of my fantasy drafts pan out) w00t.gif we seemed to be ahead of the pack when it came to jumping from line to line for the rides/attractions because we would get there and it would be a 10-20 minute wait and when leaving it would be 50-60 minutes. We waited no longer than 30 minutes for any ride and that includes Space Mountain (Fast Passed), Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain. My son (6 years old) went on everything with me and my daughter (only 3) went on anything that she was tall enough for. The picture taken at Splash Mountain was a classic and so we bought it.

The trip was a blast and truly was a vacation.

Thanks for asking.

Now I just hope Doc missing.gif checks in... coffee.gif

Roll for him. I don't like cutting owners out of any phase of the process, mostly because that's part of the fun IMO. I've found that some owners don't really care about what would be considered more mundane tasks - and Doc may be one.

In any event, he's had more than ample opportunity to roll if he really wanted to.

BTW, welcome back.

Glad you had a great time.

Would've preferred seeing you put some of that $300 into league awards here instead of pissing it away at Magic Kingdom...

laughing.gif It certainly was pissed away. I'm waiting for your Entry Fee so that I can reimburse myself somewhat for the dough I spent at Disney.
