Big John
An item brought up by a team owner in whether to allow a team to switch to an abandoned team.

In the past, all open teams were given to new owners and no switching was done.

Do we want to change this.

Please discuss.
Big John
Personally, I don't support this as new teams coming would be at a disadvantage.

from pesonal experience i would say no. we are a keeper league (can only keep 3)...plenty of opportunity to improve one's lot.

Ya , it was a stupid request and makes no sense......draft better,scratch,claw,trade....stick to business as usual coffee.gif
Hat Trick
I don't think its fair, I am against this.

I vote no. Open teams should go to new owners.

Agree with Cap'n on this.

I was the one that brought this question up. My rationale is this. I was the first person on the first waiting list for the first season. The owner (happyface) had a terrible team. I can't even begin to tell you how bad the team was. However, I really wanted in the league so I took it thinking I could build a franchise and reap the benefit in a couple years.

The league rules for DOH are much different and do not favor those that need to rebuild. As others can attest, I know my FF poopy but it really sucks to see good players that have sat on good rosters for years get picked up by someone new to the league. This league does very little trading.

How is this any different than if I were to quit and come back as a new member? I've stuck with this league out of spite. I've tried to prove that you can rebuild in this league but I don't see it.
