A couple of things to remember:

-There is only one full IDP draft, no separate rookie draft.
-There is no timer, but everyone should do their best to keep the draft moving.
-There is no trading before or during the draft.
-Have fun.

Dang newbies screw up everything.

Methinks we may want to stop the draft until he can pick someone else. Honest mistake.

rajn may be gone for the weekend.

I also have the commish abilities for situations like this, so I reverted the draft back to peepin's pick.

Thanks, didn't mean to screw up my first chore as assistant commish. I'm not sure I'm smart enough to have fixed that anywyas yet.

Awesome Big John, you da man! I will be gone for most of today... family cookout & all, then I'll be traveling on the 7th.

Be safe. We are staying home this weekend so I will be checking in on the draft often. Just finished grilling duties so minus the fireworks tonight, I'll be aroundmost of the weekend.

I happened to notice someone had made a post in a thread called "MSHB2 Draft Commentary". PANIC!! Club PM'ed me and I've made a pick using a cheat sheet I found on the Huddle front page. Phew.

Do we draft our IDP guys separately from the offensive draft or can I take a Cleveland LB with my second pick?

Edit: Interestingly, the MFL live draft room says we have 45 roster spots when we actually only have 32.

It is one draft. You can take a CLE LB with your 2nd pick if you wish.

And final rosters is 32 players ans the draft is 32 rounds. It says 45 as you can pickup more players in waivers after the draft, but must cut down to 32 in the final roster deadline.

I tried to send most everyone an email to notify you the draft has begun. I'm new to Time Warner and used a seimicolon between the email addresses instead of a comma.

With our MSHB draft just a few weeks away I am very interested in how this plays out. Any link to the draft or do I have to go find it myself?

Does Hat Trick know it's on him?

I sent him an email or two or three (had difficulty getting my new email working) but given:

We still have about 9 days until the draft officially begins AND the fact we started the day before a holiday weekend.

We've gotten much farther along than I figured we would have. My guess is Hat has no idea he's up and he's been away from the computer enjoying some time off. Hat and I have been leaguemates since probably 2001. Trust me, if he was aware it was his pick, we would not be waiting.

I'll keep checking in because I'm a geek but it is entirely possible this is as far as we get until Monday.

My daughter has her heart surgery Tuesday. Tomorrow we have doctors appointments at 8:30 central, 11:00 central and 1:00 central. They told us to expect the one at 1:00 to last 3 hours.
