This was brought up in the "Items to be discussed in the off-season" thread & I know at least one other DOH! was in favor of bringing it to the table for discussion & possible rule change, as evidenced below.

seems like there should be more then 1 IR spot ......but whats that do to the dynamics of the league....i defer to BJ judgement

Keeper league - 3 max.

With that, 1 IR slot seems to be the most needed and only a few need to use it each year, as most injured players are not considered keeper worthy and thus cut.

My initial view is to make PUP players IR eligible but don't feel the need for an extra IR slot for this.

i would support making pup players eligible for ir and expanding our ir to 2 or 3 players.

This is what I am thinking. I take it we can activate players from IR who are actually on the PUP?
