Would like to put a 24 hour time limit on each draft pick and if the draft hasn't concluded by August 14th go to a shorter time limit to finish the draft===if you fail to meet your time limit or don't preselect the next owner will select and so on until you PM me with your selection if that player is still available he will be placed on your team and the draft will continue to move. Again lets finish the poll on waivers need one more owner to vote for item B to make a change--thank you

One thing I see - If they miss their pick they need to post the makeup pick on the MFL league message board. That lets everyone see it so someone does not draft him and we have to backtrack. Second it gives a time stamp everyone can see, so they know it is leagal and that player had not already been taken by someone in the draft.

I'll be on vacation from July 29th - Aug 6th with no computer access.

We started last year on the 11th of August---and the rules are pretty ambigous(sp) on the start date saying around August 1st--if no one objects if dues have been accepted and the dice roll has happened that we begin on August 7th at 10 est---again comments are requested

Humm, some schedule conflicts here for sure. Starting that late with a 24 hour pick limit may not make sense. How about a 12 hour limit?

there shouldn't be an issue with a 12 hour clock for me either. i should only be without access from 7a-430p est... i don't foresee a problem checking in close to those times.

12 hour clock sounds fine to me as well. I'll be checking in before I leave for work and as soon as I get home so it won't be a problem.

+1 sounds like we will be doing most of the drafting in the evening hours.

12-hour fine on my end....if there happens to be a day where someone knows they won't be able to cehck-in, they can always propagate their draft lists in advance. Not ideal, but it works.

Stupid question time: is there a reason we could'nt do a live draft? Say a friday/saturday night...Sunday afternoon?

Due to my situation I can not sit by a computer for a couple of hours straight to do a live draft. As such I never join leagues having a live draft; only join leagues that have a slow draft specified in their rules.

hard to get 16 guys to get their schedules to work. We've done a slow draft with the league the last couple years, and always knock it out in about 8-10 days.

if we are starting early August, and folks are courteous enough to check in as often as possible over the two-week period, we'll have no trouble getting it done in plenty of time.
