Isle left for vacation yesterday, but gave me his number. I will send him a text & find out asap.

I called and got a recorded message that he wasn't accepting calls at this time.

I think its safe to say he wanted KEVIN and not KEITH. Who the hell is Keith Smith anyway? I vote to give him Kevin Smith as that is the only logical explanation.

Kevin was taken like one or two picks ahead of him....that is the problem. We can give him Tatum Bell?

Or we can give him Keith Smith and let him learn to be more careful.

LOL...ok..I agree he may be a decent player...just not 6th round worthy....but if he doesn't get back....he will have oneof his CB positions picked!!!

I think we should let him re-pick when he gets back on whos available at the time he comes back.

As of right now I already have two calls, one voice mail, a PM & a text to him. I will continue to try to contact him, but until I can we can only assume what his intentions were. If he meant to take Keith Smith, however doubtful it may be, then giving him someone else would be wrong. It's also unfair to the other owners to take a player off the board who otherwise would have been available. Furthermore, our judgment call on who we think he might want may not be anywhere close to his line of thinking. The only way I see to handle this is to allow him to re-pick as soon as he is able to check in. It really sucks for him if he meant to take someone else and I hate to see any owner get in a bind this way, but not knowing how long he will be unavailable I'm not willing to hold up the draft for his answer.

so, are we holding up the draft then? Is Sheiks pick in...and you are holding it? I am cool with that...just wondering.

If it was me, I'd curse myself out about it but I'd take the hit for my error. I suspect he will too. I really think anyone using the innerwebs even sporadically should be able to make a FF pick without f**king it up.

I tried searching through Isleseeya's posts to see how long he was gonna be on vacation, I couldn't find anything, I went back to early this month, and figured I'd done my due dilligence.

How long is he gone for?

Will he be picking while he's on vacation?

While I am not necessarily mad about this, there was ample opportunity to post in the draft availability thread about his absences. I understand the all star game....but then to go on vacation and tell no one is well...not considerate.

All that said...isleseeya is a good guy....now, if this is not reason enough....please post contact info. LOL

He told me & I told everyone else. I told Isle I would help get his picks in & that is exactly what I am doing. As I posted in the other thread & posted on the draft chat I had a doctors appointment at 2:30 & would not be here when Isle got his pick in and that I would be a while at my appointment. I really don't know what else you are looking for here. We came up with a date for the draft that would accommodate the majority of the owners. It would be great if everyone could be totally available at the same time, but that is almost never the case with such a large draft. Personally I think you all are making good progress, but then again I've been in 6 different full IDP leagues & have been doing these type of leagues for over 5 years so maybe I'm just used to it.

Maybe you should only join local leagues or Yahoo leagues with a two minute timer. The fact is that life gets in the way of all of us and 16 diverse people with 16 different schedules from across this hugh land (and beyond, MonkeyOne) being able to do this colossal draft at all is a freakin' miracle.

maybe....but for reference, I play in a local(I call it local because the commish is 4 hours away) were we have 12 participants....all are Mississippi River to the east coast. We do MFL online 24 Rounds IDP draft 1 to 2 minutes between picks. It can be done...just saying that it is easier to help out the commissioner if everyone has their contact info posted....especially here. That is all....carry on!!
