Full Version: With 12 teams, a few items to be resolved.

Big John
There are now some items that need to be discussed:

1. Teams to be contracted: It Doc returns, this is easy as I would contract spain's and Suny's. If Doc does not return, would the new owner get his choice of them and the other 2 be contracted or does he do a dice roll for teams, with the other 2 teams being contracted?

2. Realignment: Any way the contraction is done, it will be left up with a 5-4-3 distribution of teams in their divisions, so 1 team in the Homer Simpson division will need to move to the division with 3 remaning teams to get a 4-4-4 distribution. Look for a volunteer to move or go with a dice roll for the team to move (with using a dice roll if no or multiple volunteers)? Other possibilities are 1 or 2 divisions with a random draw for placements

3. Dispersal of players from dead teams? Release all players from contracted teams and make them eligible for the regular draft or some other method? If other method, please explain this as you want it.

4. Number of playoff teams? Stay with 6 or change to 4 playoff teams (3(?) division winners and 1(?) wildcard team) with a 14-game regular season.

5. Others? (I put in an amended payout schedule to eliminate payouts for 5th-6th place teams.)

Please discuss. We are running behind schedule so I will try to get these resolved quickly.

1. dice roll

2. dice roll

3. other.... i need to think of a fair method

4. i normally am in favor of 4 for a 12, but i think we should stay with 6 for this league.

1. New owner should choose since that has been the way we worked it in the past.

2. I volunteer!!!!! and am okay with dice roll if needed.

3. Release all players from contracted teams and make them eligible for the regular draft

4. Stay with 6

5. Fine with amended payout schedule

Let the owner have a choice, but i'm ok with a dice roll too.

2. How about realigning everyone randomly via dice roll for a fresh start?

3. Dispersal of players from dead teams? Release all players from contracted teams and make them eligible for the regular draft or some other method? If other method, please explain this as you want it.

Whatever gets me Adrian Peterson...er...I mean...release all players.

4. Number of playoff teams? Stay with 6 or change to 4 playoff teams (3(?) division winners and 1(?) wildcard team) with a 14-game regular season.

Change to 4 playoff teams with 14 game regular season.

5. Others? (I put in an amended payout schedule to eliminate payouts for 5th-6th place teams.)

Amended payout schedule is fine.

Please discuss. We are running behind schedule so I will try to get these resolved quickly.
