Dear General,

I need your advice. I've been marooned on an island with plenty of rum and only one wench. This wench is not exactly pleasing to the eye. Here's my problem. With enough rum (I'm talking a lot of rum) she begins to appear attractive. With too much rum I pass out. I'm finding that the quanity of rum necessary to arouse me is very close to the quantity which makes me pass out. I'm struggling in attempts to successfully titrate the proper amount of rum. Your suggestions would be appreciated.

Excellent question. This dilemma can be solved in two different ways. First, which is more important to you? Rum or a wench's velvety sausage wallet? For me the answer is easy. Find yourself a small furry animal on your island or at least a nice knotty tree log and pound out a few frustrations while you have the nuke-faced wench distill some more rum for you.

If that idea doesn't float your boat, I suggest you tie two small tree branches to raise your mizzenmast and let her shiver your timber at anytime, no matter how drunk you are. At the very least, you will wake up with a smile and you can always dream that it was dinalew that gave you her broadside.

Maybe I'm just missing it, but what if your TMQB isn't on your homer team, and that QB has a bye. Do you just play without a QB that week?

For the bye week, the previous week's score carries over.

BJ is mostly right. It's the average of the previous two weeks scores that carry over.

Team kicker and team defense are automatically added to your team and both count towards the 6 player requirement. So you need only 4 more besides those 2.

What is the reason we have a -0.5 per pass attempt? Does this somehow value more yards per pass attempt? I could possibly see that. Or is it just simply a mistake in our system?

Just one of the scoring options DJ came up with when he started the league. You also get a point per completion to balance that out. Just a way to score more points for QB's.

ends up sort of being a way to give points for completion %. Say a QB goes 10-20 in a game. You get 0 points (20* -.5 = -10, 10* 1 = 10) But if your QB goes 15-20, you get 5 points (20* -.5 = -10, 15* 1 = 15) So the better game your QB has completing passes, the better he'll score.
