If the draft is going to be on August 24th, by the league bylaws, we must set our keepers 14 days before then. So, everyone must post their keepers by Sunday, August 10th.........TOMORROW!!!

Perhaps since, none of us realized that the deadline was approaching so fast, we should push it back a few days. How about Wednesday, Aug 13 by 11:59 p.m. eastern time.

I don't see why you couldn't drop them.

I think that is fair, although I guess I've never seen anyone do it. Considering how early we have to declare keepers I think it's the only fair option.

This is a good topic. So, if a saved player gets hurt before the draft and you drop him, do you get that draft pick back?

I don't think so.... as of now, we all have our keepers (I think)..... sure, you could drop one, but would have to wait on FA bidding to replace him should he get hurt. It's a FF keeper league... there are no garantees. We are all in the same boat as I type this... all equally at risk. JMHO.

I agree with this or give the team an additional 16th round pick so they could get all of their players in the draft.

Oh, I was thinking of a kept player gets hurt before draft day, you should be able to drop him and retain that pick. I mean are we really going to force a team to use a draft pick on a player who won't play (assuming the injury is long term which is why a team would drop the player)? That doesn't sound fair.

I thought the reason we have a deadline is so other owners can prepare for the draft - I don't see the harm in dropping and retaining the pick. I can understand why we can't keep a different player in this scenario, but come on now, we should be able to drop and retain the pick.

FYI - your roster is still full and Addai is a free agent.

I had to do that because I have a trade in the works with perch. Except the Addai part, I couldn't remember how to get the pick back so I dropped him in trying to figure it out. I thought I had put him back. I'll do that now.
