hey fellas... I just spoke with hughy..... golf is gonna be extremely expensive if in fact we choose to go that route. Middle of summer - sunday, on one of the best courses in the state is not a cheap endevour. with hughy working there we can get a 4-some for free (you guys I was never going) & then the rest pay full weekend fee.

Here's my alternative plan seeing as we're up against it as far as time goes .......

I've got a double header sunday @ 9 & noon @ husky ballpark..... i'll be off the field no later than 3. what about meeting @ the RAM in U-village about 3:30-4 ?? this is a great spot... plenty of tables & for selfish reasons I can be there !

I could check for tee times at gold mountain on the kitsap peninsula. We could meet at my place for rules and draft picks and then head to the course. We might be able to get 3 foursomes in somewhere between noon and 1:30. I did some quick checks and it looks like there are some openings. I would prefer not to go north in Seattle especially later in the day with crappy ferry service to bremerton. We could do F.X. McCory's as in the past or maybe another sports bar in the downtown area.

That sux about no go on golf especially with short notice to re-plan. You know, it would be nice one time to have something closer to the southern people. Is there anything we could do in the SoDo area? I will probably come to whatever is decided as long as it doesn't cost much and it's not too late. I don't have any ideas, but I'll chirp in if I think of any.

Unfortunately I will be in California. Maybe I'll get better picks by NOT being there...

I agree that it would be nice... and it was thought about a good bit back when. However, just as going north, it seems we can never find a place that works for everyone.

Have always tried to have the "spring" meeting central to everyone. That was why FX always worked so well. In the middle of us all. And it was down and dirty...rules discussions and draft slot picking and done. Plus it was very inexpensive for those that showed up. Trying to combine something else with those two things just never seems to come to fruition.

Starting late on a Sunday isn't a good idea to me. If it was a Saturday, then maybe.

If we aren't going to golf...then my suggestion is FX at noon-thirty. Central to everyone, parking, doesn't cost anything, and everyone knows where it is.


Randy, Bone, and Cliff won't be there. Fraz will be held up until after 3:30 but could stop in on the way home.

My other suggestion is that if it becomes such a mess that we really can't meet this Sunday is for Dan to just go ahead and use MFL and set up the draft picks that way. MFL can run it totally random and the way we do it. Just a thought.

or use the dice server.

As for the south end..... I could do that too. i've got games saturday night in downtown kent. I'm all over the place.

Everyone knows where it is, and if we can't do something truly different why break tradition.

I can say that I'm not truly happy how it all turned out, but I can talk about it more at the meeting, (rule change, hint, hint )

After the first roll was complete we would then roll again..... rinse, repeat for 3rd, 5th, etc.

Agree...thought that this year ECB would be doing something completely different.

Maybe we can address a permanent date in May and a permanent date in Aug for the meetings. That way everyone would know to put those dates aside every year.

I will let Bob know that we will be going to FX so he can plan which ferry we will take.

FX sounds good. I feel bad Fraz is tied up till 3:30 or so, wish we could accomodate. I don't want to make more work for Dan, but would Sat night work better for everyone? If we did, wouldn't we be worried about the crowd there?

Sat is out for me, a I'll be attending the company picnic. I've left Sunday completely open though, so anytime or place works for me there.

I'd say it's solid for FX at 12:30 or so on Sunday July 27th.

I hope everyone who can attend does, and those who can't get horrible draft spots.

i had horrible drafts spots last year..... just bring the brass on the 10th.

as usual when I want a fast game I go 10 innings in game 1 & 8 innings in game 2..... just got home from 7 hours of baseball.

hopefully the meeting went well & oh yeah...... I need a beer.

There is a new blind bid rule proposal that I think is pretty cool, not like anything I've ever seen, and really that's what ECB is kinda all about.

I collected some dues, thanks to Dustin and Greg.
