Thursday September 4th is the start of the season.

August 31 is the last Sunday before the season and would be great but I suspect that won't work becuase of the holiday weekend. That should move us back to August 24 or if that does not work and we stick to our past 10 years of drafting on a Sunday then I guess we will be looking at August 17.

I have to travel to Peoria Ill for a wedding on 8/31 and will not be available to draft that day.

I voted for the 17th but can make the 24th.

I definitely can't on the 31st. Would prefer later in the evening on the other two.

Is it safe to assume that the draft will be at night? Like 7 PM ET or whatever? My local leagues draft is either going to be the 17th or 24th (not sure yet) but it'll be at noon and is usually over by like 6 PM so assuming we'd be starting later than that, then I am in for either of those days...

Tradition has had us start at 7PM ET. Actually I think it has been 7:30PM ET and I know this because I am always working 7 days a week come that time of the year. So to answer your question the answer is yes it will be in the evening otherwise I won't be there.

My vote is a little misleading, cause it looks like 8-31 if definately OUT, but I picked it as my first choice. (So did a few others) If we were voting only between the 24th and the 17th I'd go with the 24th. Maybe once we completely rule out the 31st, we should vote again on the other 2?

In any event I'll make myself available whichever of the dates everybody agrees on!

I think the 31st is ruled out. A few people said that date does not work for them and that is good enough for me to shut it down.

My vote is for the 24th at 7:30pm EST. I'm out for the 8/31 date.

9 of the 12 of us has checked in. I assume that the others are just waiting it out as they may be good to go with whatever. We are for sure out on the 31st as I figured we would be so that leaves us with the 24th and the 17th.

I am going to open a new thread with those two choices only and blast everyone with an email and ask them to chime in.

I voted 8/31, 8/24 & 8/17 in that order, but I am available for all of the dates.
