While this is fresh on my mind there are a couple of issues that have come up during this draft. Given our early draft times there have been quite a few players already that do not have the correct player designation and may not until the official depth charts come out & MFL updates. Given the position limits we have for the draft it has forced owners to decide to either draft the player out of position & risk no having a quality starter at that position or to just let the player go. I still like having the limits to an extent because for the most part we have a lot of owners who are completely new to IDP, but at the same time I think some of those limits are a little too hindering. The two ideas that I think could work would be to either adjust to 5 RBs & 5LBs then add a spot for CB and maybe DT or DE. The other idea would be to add two more rounds and add one spot to each. Just something to kick around for now.

I wish there were more cheatsheets that separated CB/S and DE/DT. Everything I find has DL lumped togetehr and DBs lumped together. Of course, this has nothing to do with the topic at hand, but felt like posting it anyway

I'm using cheatsheets and then using stats from NFL.com. It's my first IDP draft, and I'm not entirely certain on everyone's position.

Suggestion for 2009 - Any player dropped during the week can not be claimed by any team until they have cleared one waiver period, not just the team that dropped them.
Much like the waiver system is not a FCFS free for all to prevent an unfair advantage going to those with regular internet access, I believe the same should hold true for all dropped players. The current rules allow any recently dropped player to be immediately claimed by any other team. This presents a distinct advantage to those with the regular internet access throughout the day (not singling anyone out, but the drop of Jeff Garcia and reclaiming of him 15 minutes later is a prime example of this).
Suggestion for 09 - Reducing the end of year impact of double-headers. I'd like to make it to where teams are able to recoup their losses in double headers over the course of the season by making the first three weeks double-headers and the final being on week 11. By doing this it will also allow us to have a somewhat clearer playoff picture towards the end of the season.

To be contrarian, I do think it is kind of fun to have more teams in a position to make the playoffs later in the year, which by having the double headers later facilitates.
I would like to be placed in another division, I'm tired of finishing third behind SB & Darin.

I can only dream of 3rd in MSHB2
As the rules review for the 2009 season has come to a close I am unpinning this thread & will pin a new one for the 2010 rules review period.
