Myself
Peepin
Bring Back Pat

Lets take a look at your draft Demon Knight...

1.07 Portis, Clinton WAS RB
Ok pick here.

2.10 Jones-Drew, Maurice JAC RB
Ok pick here too

3.07 Gates, Antonio SDC TE
Questionable foot injury, but TEs score good here

4.10 Palmer, Carson CIN QB
Good pick, draft looks ok so far.

5.07 Ward, Hines PIT WR
Iffy, IMO

6.10 Polamalu, Troy PIT S
Pitt Homer?

7.07 Edwards, Donnie KCC LB
Ok pick.

8.10 Taylor, Jason WAS DE
Ok pick.

9.07 Branch, Deion SEA WR
Severely Injured, will probably start the season on PUP

10.10 Moss, Sinorice NYG WR
May have gone undrafted.

11.07 Mathis, Rashean JAC CB
Ok pick

12.10 Williams, DeAngelo CAR RB
Back up/depth RB, we start two max, a third of the way into the draft.

13.07 Fujita, Scott NOS LB
Ok Pick

14.10 Haynesworth, Albert TEN DT
A top end DT, ok pick.

15.07 Betts, Ladell WAS RB
Handcuffing, this early?

16.10 McAllister, Deuce NOS RB
5 RBs in 16 rounds, very, very un-good!!

17.07 DiGiorgio, John BUF LB
Is not a starter, not even in the NFL.

18.10 Woodley, LaMarr PIT LB
Seriously, are you a Steeler homer?

19.07 Milloy, Lawyer ATL S
This guy isn’t in most people’s top 50 DBs. It's getting thin, not that thin yet.

20.10 Jurevicius, Joe CLE WR
Severely Injured, may start season on PUP, may miss the season

21.07 Mathis, Robert IND DE
Your #1 DE, still think drafting 5 RBs is a good idea? Didn’t think so.

So I disagree, I think your draft is one of the worst. You have already drafted three or four people who may have not been drafted at all.
Woodley
Juervicius
Si. Moss
Digiorgi

Your starting lineup after 21 rounds is...
QB-Palmer
RB-Portis
RB-MJD
WR-H.Ward
WR-Sinorice Moss??
TE-Gates (if healthy)
Flex-Some one from the PUP?
PK-none (that's good)
DT-Haynesworth
DE-Rob.Mathis
LB-D.Edwards
LB-Fujita
CB-Ras.Mathis
S-Polamalu
Flex-???
Flex-Miloy

I don't think you're scaring anybody, and it's bad form IMO to list your draft as a top draft,

-DD21

(I think you were trying to start some discussion, if so, we'll see if you're better at that. biggrin.gif)
TheShiznit
I will have to rank them....and probably in order...so far:

Peepinmofo
Brad
Monkey One
Myself

Those IMHO are the top 25% of the league so far without any more injuries or suspensions that we know of!!!!

Big John drafted DoGiorgio in the 6th round in one. That I found a little strange. 17th isn't bad if he thinks Poz(who I have) is injury prone.

15.07 Betts, Ladell WAS RB
Handcuffing, this early?

I took Ricky Williams even earlier.

I like the discussion.

DD, can you break down mine like you did for DK please? But remember this is my first IDP draft, so please go easy. huh2.gif
digitaldan21
Since you aksed nicely. shades.gif

As an IDP noob, you fell into the same trap most IDP noobs fall into, name recognition. On offense you hear the guys name it's because he's gaining yards, making catches or whatever, scoring you points basically. On defense commentators talk about how 'disruptive' or 'explosive' a guy is. There are no points for explosions. sad.gif

I fell into this with my first IDP draft too, so don't feel alone. I thought I STOLE Chris Hovan. Alas, there are also no points for face painting, or being an arrogant arse. sad.gif

Here you got hit with Merriman, he's a big name, not a big FF producer in this scoring system. You HAVE to start him every week, when you sit him he scores 25-30 points, trust me I know. (I owned Merriman in Fusion, note the past tense. In full disclosure I do still own him in GMX) but it was a little early for him there, not bad though he may very well win you a game with a huge week or two (OAK twice wink.gif)

Then you fell into another IDP trap....you took a DT too high. Knowing when a position will start is tough, IDP newbs will be best to wait and see. The next DT went four rounds later, and IMO you didn't get the top DT, not even a top 10 DT to be honest. Learn from this pick. smile.gif

Now pick by pick....
1.08 Moss, Randy NEP WR
A little early perhaps for a WR, but here it's players choice, I can’t say I wouldn’t have done the same.

2.09 Bush, Reggie NOS RB
I think you got a steal here.

3.08 Jennings, Greg GBP WR
Too many question marks for my taste, but I can’t say it was a bad pick, just a matter of opinion.

4.09 Stewart, Jonathan CAR RB
Too early for a rookie RB who already has an injury, even if he’s healthy he may split time.

5.08 Merriman, Shawne SDC LB
Right position, wrong player, Lofa or Witherspoon would’ve been better choices.

6.09 Manning, Eli NYG QB
Everyone needs a QB, not too sure Eli will be a FF Super Bowl winner, but he should be serviceable, maybe a tad early.

7.08 Miller, Heath PIT TE
TEs score well here, I took what IMO are two of the top three, hoping people would have to scramble to get serviceable ones later, Miller should be above average.

8.09 Forte, Matt CHI RB
Three RBs, two of them are rookies, in the first eight rounds. We can only start two maximum, and only have to start one.

9.08 Crayton, Patrick DAL WR
Rounding out your WR corp, could be a nice pick, could be a tease, you’re counting on him as a starter.

10.09 Ngata, Haloti BAL DT
Sorry buddy, chalk it up to lurnin’.

11.08 Greenway, Chad MIN LB
Just when I think you can’t do any worse with IDP, you go and totally redeem yourself.  Love this pick, but I am a dislocated Minn Homer.

12.09 Freeney, Dwight IND DE
Pretty good pick here, injury concerns, but a solid FF producer. (and a big name biggrin.gif)

13.08 Jones, Pacman DAL CB
If he stays out of trouble, you’ve done well for yourself, if he win the returner job too, you just got a steal, if he goes and ‘makes it rain’ in Dallas it’s a blown pick, It’s an all or nothing pick.

14.09 Huff, Michael OAK S
Good pick here, should do well, DBs are hard to forecast.

15.08 Mitchell, Kawika BUF LB
I like this pick too, WLB for a team playing the Tampa-2, what’s not too like?

16.09 Slaton, Steve HOU RB
Really, another rookie RB, not to mention you’re stacking a position before you fill your lineup.

17.08 Jackson, DeSean PHI WR
Did you just do a rookie draft for a dynasty league? A rookie WR, an EAGLE rookie WR, like I said there are no points for explosions (bust) 

18.09 Dumervil, Elvis DEN DE
I like his upside, but this league is very tackle heavy, and doesn’t reward for big plays, but I was eyeing him with my next pick.

19.08 Thomas, Adalius NEP LB
Another good value LB pick. You’re a quick learner.

20.09 Clark, Desmond CHI TE
Back up TE? You still have starters to get in your secondary.

21.08 Bly, Dre' DEN CB
You may have fallen into the name game a bit here, Bodden will score well, Bly not as much.

22.09 Rogers, Shaun CLE DT
Name game again I fear, he hasn’t been a force for a while, but the pickens are getting a little slim

I tried to be nice. smile.gif

In my RB picks, I really like J Stewart and already drafting Bush with the same bye week I had to come back and draft another one. I feel I need to start 2 RB's every week and that's why I loaded up on them after both having the same bye week. wink.gif I'll probably have to agree with you on D Jackson, but if McNabb comes out on fire and Jackson somehow comes out of camp as a starter I may have found something, although I know its probably a long shot. I wasn't overly concerned with the LB's like all of you seemed to be, I compared the scoring on them last year and they really are all fairly close to each other and loading up on offense I was going for value and think I have done ok at least. My secondary hass been the least of my concerns cause I see them and DT as the worst point producers in this type of league and I could be completely wrong but that's what I thought anyway. I am somewhat pleased so far although I can look at the rosters and my spreadsheet of the teams and see I'm not one of the elite teams in the draft, but you never know until they play the games, lots of picks left to find some sleepers, hopefully.

Thanks for your critique.

It doesnt really matter what everyone here THINKS. Bottom lne is I plan on going undefeated. Starting 1 RB allowed me to get 2 starters, and their backups, and fiill out every other spot. If Marshall doent get suspended, watch out. Even if he does, I picked up Mark Clayton unsure.gif

Should be a fun season... Cant wait to have in my sig, "2008 MSHB II Champion" biggrin.gif

First off I was being kinda toung in cheek with listing my name first. But I do like my draft more than you do. I am working completely without a cheat sheet since this is my first IDP draft and theres no money on the line I kinda wanted to do the research on my own. Are we allowed to trade or arent we? I was under the assumption we were when we started then I read we werent.

On the injuries. I didnt realize Jurevicous and Branch were that bad off. I agree my WR's are hurting if thats the case. I dont thnk Gates toe is going to hinder him that much. He said it was 70% a week ago and he still has a month to heal. He's stll the top TE in the league in my book.

Flex = one of the back-up RB's. Deuce is looking good in camp and if I can get 7-8 touchdowns out of him thats pretty good for a flex in my book. And who knows whats happeniing with DeAngelo. I was hoping to trade one or the other.

You also conveniently left off Jason Taylor. Remember him, Defensive PLayer of the Year a couple years back? PLays DE/LB but counts as a DE? Yeah, hes worth something Iwould think. Did the Bills drop DiGiorgio? News to me. He had a great season in place of Poz.

Anyway, we shall see when the season starts.

OOps, just looked at the rules. I will be needing a WR if JJ and Branch are as bad off as you say...

Fotgot i got meecham whos fighting for the second wr slot and is lookng great in camp. You totally cherry picked my draft to make your point. real credible. Did I piss you off somehow?

I was eyeing Meachem too, but you cannot start three RBs in this league. 1 min - 2 max.

You should be thanking me, now you have another opinion of where to try to fix your team via the draft.

Who's more credible? The guy who says that draft is the top, or the guy who's letting him know about all the injuries on his team?

I'd give Dan a 4.123467 on his team. It's OK but I'm not impressed by his LB'ers or RB's. He has more faith in the Seattle RB stable than most do.

None of this matters yet.

Browns GM Phil Savage said in a radio interview Thursday that Joe Jurevicius (knee surgery) will likely start 2008 on the PUP list.
"Obviously every time he's taken a step forward, it's been two steps back," Savage said.

Rotoworld saysHe'd miss six weeks on the PUP list, but Jurevicius has been rumored to be privately saying he won't play in 2008.

Cleveland knew this a while back and didn't draft a WR or try and get a FA. I'm not sure what their plan is.

Seattle has several young guns but no one has really stood out yet. Branch should be back but he seems to be always hurt.

Should I be embarrassed to admit I have absolutely no idea what any of the other 15 teams looks like? I virtually never look at other teams except when considering trading, not even when playing them H2H. Why bother? I can't do anything about it.

I only look at the other teams a few spots ahead of me and behind me to try to gage most pressing needs for their teams. Sometimes I will forgo a need on my team to draft depth in a position that will be heavily in need in the next round....so I can lower the quality of the available player pool in a given position. That is really the only reason I look.

um, I do it to see draft trends from year to year, owner to owner.....always sizing up my competiton wink.gif I know it may just be dumb luck, but 2 years ago I made the playoffs in one league out of 5 taking over 3 both leagues from owners dropping out. Last year I made the playoffs in 3 of 4 and made the Super Bowl in 2 of 5 leagues. nerd.gif
