Since this is my 1st time using this type of site for FF, I was wondering does it notify you when your draft pick is up? I mean since we are doing it for 24 hrs, I believe, will it email me when its my time to pick or do I need to recheck the site time to time?

You should check in from time to time. Depending on how people make picks it sends out e-mails when picks are made if you have the box checked to recieve them.
